Al-Ameen College (formerly known as Langford Islamic College) is an independent Islamic co-educational primary and secondary day school, located in Langford, a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The school opened in 2004 and as of 2022 has 1,100 students.Following a 2015 Australian Government audit of funding for Islamic schools, Al-Ameen College retained $4.9 million in government funding after changes were made to its governance structure.In 2021, the college changed its name to Al-Ameen College in preparation of opening a future campus outside of Langford.

Cannington is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district is based in the inner southern suburbs of Perth. Cannington is a safe Labor seat. Based on the results of the 2005 state election, the district was created with a Labor Party majority of 63.3% to 36.7% versus the Liberal Party.

Thornlie railway station is a temporarily closed railway station on the Transperth network. Under construction is the Thornlie-Cockburn Link which will link to Cockburn Central railway station along the Mandurah line via two new stations, Nicholson Road railway station and Ranford Road railway station.

Woodloes Homestead was built in 1871 by architect Francis Bird. The homestead is situated on the banks of the Canning River in Cannington. Bird was partner in the Mason-Bird Timber Company, cut timber in the Darling Range and transported it via a horse-drawn railway to Mason's Landing, near Woodloes Homestead. Woodloes Homestead was classified by the National Trust in 1988, nominated to the Register of The National Estate in 1991 and permanently added to Western Australian State Heritage register on 21 January 1997.

Empire Ballpark is a baseball stadium in Perth, Australia. It was built in 2004, with a seating capacity of 1500 and standing room for a further 2500. This is the first baseball-exclusive stadium in Perth since the demolition of Parry Field in the mid-1990s. Baseball Park was the venue of the 2007 Claxton Shield, which ran from 19 to 27 January 2007. The facility was known as Barbagallo Ballpark between mid 2010 and mid 2015, until Perth Harley-Davidson purchased the naming rights to the Stadium in 2017 for a 3-year deal. In December of 2020, the Perth Heat announced a naming rights deal with Empire Capital Partners for the then upcoming 2020/21 Australian Baseball League season.

Cannington Greyhounds is a greyhound racing venue on Station Street and Grey Street near Albany Highway in Cannington, Western Australia. The venue is owned and operated by the Western Australian Greyhound Racing Association (WAGRA). Race meetings take place most Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights and some Sundays. Race distances are 275, 380, 520, 600, and 715 metres (902, 1,247, 1,706, 1,969, and 2,346 ft).

Nicholson Road railway station is an under construction station on the Thornlie–Cockburn Link in Perth, Western Australia as part of Metronet. The station will include a bus interchange with 7 stands and 1,000 car parking spaces. The station will be at-grade, with pedestrian and bicycle access from a new shared path along Canna Drive or via the Nicholson Road underpass, and vehicle and bus access from Tulloch Way and Panama Street. Approximately 2,350 daily boardings are predicted at Nicholson Road railway station in 2031. Services to Perth and Cockburn Central will be provided by Transperth Trains, with the journey to Perth to take approximately 26 minutes. It is 28 minutes to Perth via the Mandurah line.

Westfield Carousel is an Australian shopping centre in the Perth suburb of Cannington. It is located approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Perth's central business district on the Albany Highway and approximately 600 metres (2,000 ft) from Cannington railway station. Following a redevelopment in 2018, Westfield Carousel became the largest shopping centre in Western Australia.

Beckenham railway station is a temporarily closed railway station on the Transperth commuter rail network in Western Australia. It is located on the Armadale line, 13.8 kilometres (8.6 mi) from Perth Station serving the suburb of Beckenham. It closed on 20 November 2023 so the station could be rebuilt as part of the Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project.
