Treptowers

Treptower Park is a railway station in the Alt-Treptow locality of Berlin. It is served by the S-Bahn lines , , , and and so represents an important interchange point on the Berlin S-Bahn network. The station consists of two island platforms, enabling cross-platform interchange between lines running in the same direction. It is located next to the park of the same name.

Klingende Blume is an outdoor sculpture by Achim Kühn, installed at Treptower Park in Berlin, Germany.

Molecule Man is a series of aluminium sculptures, designed by American artist Jonathan Borofsky, installed at various locations around the world, including Germany and the United States. Borofsky made the first Molecule Man sculptures for locations in Los Angeles in 1977 and 1978. They were installed later in 1981 and 1983 (in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, respectively).The sculpture model depicts three human form silhouettes with hundreds of holes, leaning toward each other. According to Borofsky, the holes represent "the molecules of all human beings coming together to create our existence."A related sculpture is Borofsky's Hammering Man.

Deutsche Grammophon (German: [ˈdɔʏtʃə ɡʁamoˈfoːn]; DGG) is a German classical music record label that was the precursor of the corporation PolyGram. Headquartered in Berlin Friedrichshain, it is now part of Universal Music Group (UMG) since its merger with the UMG family of labels in 1999. It is the oldest surviving established record company.

The Treptow Arena (pronounced [tʁɛptoː], with a silent w) (also Arena Berlin) is an indoor hall, that hosts concerts, parties and special events, such as car presentations. It can hold up to 7,500. It is located in Berlin, Treptow next to the Spree.

The Badeschiff (in English, "bathing ship") is a floating public swimming pool in Berlin, the capital city of Germany. Situated in the East Harbour section of the River Spree, the Badeschiff allows citizens to swim in a sanitary environment near the river. The Spree itself is far too polluted to permit safe swimming.The Badeschiff opened in the summer of 2004 as an art project organized by the Stadtkunstprojekte (City Art Project Society) of Berlin. It was created by local artist, Susanne Lorenz, with Spanish architects AMP and Gil Wilk, to enliven city life along a long-neglected stretch of the Spree.The pool was converted from the hull of a vessel measuring eight by thirty-two metres. It is open to the public daily from 8am to midnight. Disc jockeys commonly spin records outside the pool entrance where there is also a bar.

The Embassy of Belarus in Berlin (German: Botschaft der Republik Belarus in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Belarusian: Пасольства Рэспублікі Беларусь у Федэратыўнай Рэспубліцы Германія) is the diplomatic mission of Belarus to Germany. The current Belarusian ambassador to Germany is Dzianis Sidarenka.

The Soviet War Memorial is a war memorial and military cemetery in Berlin's Treptower Park. It was built to the design of the Soviet architect Yakov Belopolsky to commemorate 7,000 of the 80,000 Red Army soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in April–May 1945. It opened four years after the end of World War II in Europe, on May 8, 1949. The Memorial served as the central war memorial of East Germany. The monument is one of three Soviet memorials built in Berlin after the end of the war. The other two memorials are the Tiergarten memorial, built in 1945 in the Tiergarten district of what later became West Berlin, and the Schönholzer Heide Memorial in Berlin's Pankow district. Together with the Rear-front Memorial in Magnitogorsk and The Motherland Calls in Volgograd, the monument is a part of a triptych.

The Club der Visionaere is a nightclub in Treptow-Köpenick, the biggest borough in Berlin. Situated at a distributary channel for flood water in a former boathouse and opposing the border of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, it came to fame for its focus mainly on Minimal music and dj-sets by Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. More recently, it has gained a worldwide reputation as an Afterhours club. It is part of the Arena Berlin complex in which the Badeschiff, Hoppetosse and Glasshaus are located. A small part of the wooden outdoor area of the club was destroyed by a fire on June 15, 2019.

Berlin Ostkreuz (literally "Berlin East Cross") is a station on the Berlin S-Bahn suburban railway and the busiest interchange station in Berlin. It is in the former East Berlin district of Friedrichshain, now part of the borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. A smaller part of the station is in Rummelsburg, part of the borough of Lichtenberg. The station is a Turmbahnhof ("tower station", i.e., a two-level interchange) with the Berlin–Frankfurt (Oder) railway ("Lower Silesian–March Railway") and the Prussian Eastern Railway on the lower level and the Berlin Ringbahn on the upper level. It is used by a total of around 235,000 passengers every day on eight lines, entering or leaving. The station was completely reconstructed from 2006 to December 2018 while operations continued. In the past it was exclusively used as a Berlin S-Bahn station, but it is now also a stopping point for regional services.

Transgender Europe (TGEU) is a network of different organisations working to combat discrimination against trans people and support trans people rights. It was founded in 2005 in Vienna during the 1st European Transgender Council as "European Transgender Network" and it is currently a registered NGO as "Transgender Europe". Since 2009, in collaboration with the online magazine "Liminalis", TGEU runs the project "Trans Murder Monitoring" (TMM) that records the many people who every year around the world are killed as result of anti-trans violence.
