Maida Avenue is a road in the Little Venice area of Maida Vale in London. Located in the City of Westminster, it follows the southern bank of the Regent's Canal close to its junction with the Grand Union Canal. It runs between Warwick Avenue and Edgware Road. Directly across the canal Blomfield Road runs parallel to Maida Avenue. The area was developed in the early nineteenth century and in its early years it was known as Maida Hill West. In 1891 the architect John Loughborough Pearson designed the Catholic Apostolic Church in the street, which is now Grade I listed. A blue plaque in the street commemorates the former residence of the poet John Masefield. The actor Arthur Lowe, known for his role as Captain Mainwaring in the BBC television series Dad's Army, lived in Maida Avenue from 1969 to 1982.

The Worsley Hotel Fire was a major arson fire at the Worsley Hotel in Maida Vale, London on 13 December 1974. It killed seven people, including a probationary firefighter.

Warwick Avenue is a residential avenue in the Little Venice area of Maida Vale, London. Its southern end is situated adjacent to Paddington Basin, to the north of Paddington station. The street, originally Green Lane and initially Warwick Road before being renamed Warwick Avenue, was named after Jane Warwick of Warwick Hall, Cumbria, whose father-in-law was John Morehead, who in turn was the son-in-law of Robert Thistlethwaite, who leased the land.At the junction of Warwick Avenue with Warrington Crescent and Clifton Gardens is the Anglican Church of St Saviour, consecrated 1856 but rebuilt in modern style in 1973–76. The church was used for the wedding scenes in the promotional video for The Human League hit Love Action (I Believe in Love). Warwick Avenue tube station, a London Underground station on the Bakerloo line, is located on the street. Warwick Avenue houses one of the remaining thirteen Grade II listed Cabmen's Shelters used by London's taxi drivers as a place to buy food and (non-alcoholic) drink."Warwick Avenue", a 2008 single from the album Rockferry by Duffy, took its name from the location after the singer accidentally alighted at Warwick Avenue tube station when unfamiliar with the London Underground.

The Warrington is a Grade II listed public house at Warrington Crescent, Maida Vale, London W9 1EH.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It was built in the mid-19th century.It was used in series 1 of The Sweeney episode Night Out and Minder series 2, episode 7 The Beer Hunter. As of August 2015, it is operated by the Faucet Inn pub company.Faucet Inn filed for insolvency as of 8 January 2019, and The Warrington is currently under the ownership of Golden Brick Pubs Limited.

Warwick Avenue ( WORR-ik) is a London Underground station in Little Venice in the City of Westminster in northwest London. The station is on the Bakerloo line, between Paddington and Maida Vale stations, and is in Travelcard Zone 2.

Warrington Crescent is a street in Maida Vale in London. Located in the City of Westminster, it is a crescent curving north eastwards from Warwick Avenue until it reaches a roundabout where it meets including Randolph Avenue, Sutherland Avenue and Lauderdale Road. Warrington Gardens and Formosa Street both lead westwards off Warrington Crescent. Street layout plans for the area were first drawn up in the 1820s by architect George Gutch in a style similar to Tyburnia next to Hyde Park, but work on Warrington Crescent didn't begin until the Victorian era. Much of the street consists of white stucco terraces.In 1915 Warwick Avenue tube station was opened where the street meets Warwick Avenue, and was originally planned to be called Warrington Crescent. Nearby towards the southern end of the street are St Saviour's Church and the Colonnade Hotel. At the northern end is the listed Warrington Hotel. Blue plaques commemorate notable former residents David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel, and the mathematician Alan Turing. The poet John Davidson also lived in the street.In March 1918 the street was subject to a Zeppelin raid as part of the German bombing of the capital during the First World War. A large bomb fell on Warrington Crescent, destroying or damaging several houses and killing twelve people and wounding many others. The American lyricist Lena Ford, who wrote the words to the popular wartime song "Keep the Home Fires Burning", was killed.

Maida Hill Tunnel is a canal tunnel on the Regent's Canal in London, England. The two other tunnels on the Regent's Canal are Islington Tunnel and Eyre's Tunnel.

The Hall Place Estate is a housing estate in Maida Vale in the City of Westminster. The estate is immediately west of the Edgware Road. The estate includes the Parsons House skyscraper which has distinctive red and white vertical external cladding. Parsons House was built in 1969 with a concrete panel system. The tower was refurbished in 1984 including the installation of powder coated aluminium panel cladding. There are 120 flats on 20 floors.The other blocks in the estate are low rise. The Radio London Disc Jockey Steve Walsh was living in Parsons House at the time of his death on 1988.

Aberdeen Place is a street in St John's Wood, London. It was laid out after 1823 on the site of a farm once owned by the wealthy yeoman John Lyon, who founded Harrow School in 1571. The farm was located in the former Lisson Manor and was held by the governors of the school, with the proceeds going towards the maintenance of Harrow Road between Harrow and London. The farm was built over from 1823 onwards with the newly constructed streets being named after governors of Harrow School. In the case of Aberdeen Place, it was named after George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, who had gone to school at Harrow and was Prime Minister from 1852 to 1855.

The Warwick Castle is a grade II listed public house at Warwick Place, Maida Vale, London, that was built in 1846. It and Warwick Place were named after Jane Warwick, the bride of the original landowner. The pub is mentioned in the biographies of a number of music figures and London "characters".
