Rancho Pismo

The John Price House, also known as the Price Anniversary House, is a historic house in Pismo Beach, California. Built from 1893 to 1894 for city founder John Michael Price, the house is the oldest building in Pismo Beach. The two-story house was designed in a vernacular style. The house's design exhibits Victorian influences and includes a gable roof which originally had ornamental cresting, a porch with decorative woodwork, and decorative window sills. Price, who had purchased the ranch site in 1852, built the house as an anniversary present for his wife. Price lived in the house until his death in 1902.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 3, 1988.

The airport covers 58 acres (230,000 m2), and has one runway and no control tower. It is mostly used for general aviation, and is walking distance to the sand dunes that line the beach at Oceano.

The Arroyo Grande Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in San Luis Obispo County, California. It is part of the larger Central Coast AVA with the area composrd of sedimentary and volcanic soils over a layer of bedrock known as the Franciscan Complex. The 16 miles (26 km) long appellation benefits from its east-northeast orientation which allows the breeze from the Pacific Ocean to moderate the climate of the area. The valley is divided by a fog line produced by the cool coastal fogs where Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Rhône varietals are grown on the higher elevations near Lopez Lake and the cooler mid-valley vineyards being home to Chardonnay and Pinot noir.
