It was taken into use in 1991 but not officially inaugurated until 5 October 2014. It is the cathedral church of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Britain and Scandinavia.

Svedmyra is a suburb in Söderort in the municipality of Stockholm, in the borough of Farsta. Svedmyra is located between Stureby and Tallkrogen, and covers about 0.92 km² of land. Svedmyra is surrounded by forests and green space. The population in 2008 was 2,812. The name "Svedmyra" comes from a cottage that was formerly on the site, named Svinmyran, "Pig Bog". The cottage is known since the 14th century, and it belonged to Östberga farm. According to legend, Svedmyra was named after all the red forest ants in the forests around Svedmyra.

Gamla Enskede (Swedish: "Old Enskede") is a district of Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough, South Stockholm, Sweden. In addition to housing areas, the district includes the Skogskyrkogården woodland cemetery and the smaller Sandsborgskyrkogården cemetery.

Stureby (pronunciation) is a residential area in southern Stockholm, approx. 3 kilometers from Skanstull. The district at 205 hectares is bordered with Örby, Örby slott, Östberga, Årstafältet, Gamla Enskede, Svedmyra, Gubbängen and Bandhagen. There were farms in the area where Stureby is located in the year 1689 according to a map. The area started to be developed in the year 1921 by the company Fastighets AB Villahem. In 1923 the politicians in Stockholm decided to build a retirement home that was named Gammelbyn to commemorate Gustav Vasa's arrival in Stockholm 400 years earlier. The area was named Stureby after Sten Sture the Younger in 1926. In 1930 the retirement home Gammelbyn was finished and also a new tram station that was part of the tram line Örbybanan. Stureby nursing home opened in 1935. There once lived 1000 people in the retirement home and the nursing home. In 1938 a cinema named Tusse-bio opened in Stureby and was renamed to Corso in 1939. The tram line in Stureby was improved in the 1940s but got replaced with the metro in 1951. In 1953 the temporary metro station Stureby was made permanent and was then an end station. During the 1950s there was an elementary school called Sturebyskolan built and also some apartment blocks were built. Landstinget took over the retirement home Gammelbyn in 1971 and renamed it to Stureby sjukhus. The elementary school was renovated in the year 2000 and currently has 1000 students.

Globen metro station is on the Green line of the Stockholm metro and the Tvärbanan light rail line, located by Globen in Johanneshov, Söderort. The station was opened on 1 October 1930 as Slakthuset station (named after an old abattoir around the area that has since been converted into a nightclub) as a part of the stretch between Gullmarsplan and Stureby. In 1958 the station was renamed as Isstadion station (after the nearby Johanneshovs Isstadion, now known as Hovet). The station acquired its current name on 20 August 1989 and is the only one in the system to have had more than two names. The distance to Slussen is 3 km (1.9 mi). There is a track connection to Tvärbanan just north of Globen metro station, and Tvärbanan has track connection to the railway, which is used for deliveries of new metro trains. Södra länken (The southern link), designated as national road 75 (Swedish: Riksväg 75), is a motorway in Sweden connecting Essingeleden (E4, E20), Stockholm with Värmdöleden (county road 222), Nacka. Södra länken is 6 km (3.7 mi) in length, of which 4.5 km (2.8 mi) is in tunnels. This makes it the third longest urban motorway tunnel in Europe after Madrid M30 orbital motorway and Blanka tunnel complex in Prague at 5.5 km (3.4 mi). The tunnel is 4 lanes wide each way at its widest point (total 8 lanes). The construction of Södra länken began in 1997, and it was inaugurated on October 24, 2004. The total cost was about 7.9 billion SEK (around 800-900 million USD at the 2003-2004 exchange rate). The link was built primarily to decrease traffic in the centre of Stockholm. Given the high construction costs and the possibility that overall traffic volumes might increase, it was one of the greatest subjects of debate during the 1990s and early 2000s in the Swedish capital. It was financed mainly with governmental money and is not a toll road. The reason for building it in a tunnel almost all the way is a law from the 1990s which more or less forbids construction of a new motorway (or similar road) near residential areas inside cities, for noise and pollution reasons. Södra länken is the southern section of the planned Stockholm Ring Road.
