Attimis (Friulian: Atimis; German: Attems; Slovene: Ahten) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Udine. Attimis borders the following municipalities: Faedis, Nimis, Povoletto, Taipana.

Nimis (Slovene: Neme) is a town and comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine, Friuli, in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, near the border with Slovenia. It is located at the foot of Mount Bernadia, home to a World War I Italian fort and to a sweet white wine called Ramandolo. The town is bordered by the municipalities of Attimis, Lusevera, Povoletto, Reana del Rojale, Taipana, and Tarcento. According to the 1971 census, 25.4% of the population are Slovenes, but these are located mainly in some villages on the surrounding hills and not in the main town and the rest of the plain. Due to the ethnic, linguistic, and cultural features of their population, the mountainous parts of the municipality are considered part of the traditional region known as the Friulian Slavia. In the remaining part of the municipality, Friulian is still widely spoken.

Taipana (Slovene: Tipana; Friulian: Taipane) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 737 and an area of 65.6 square kilometres (25.3 sq mi). According to the census 1971 74,4% of the population are Slovenes. Taipana borders the following municipalities: Attimis, Kobarid (Slovenia), Faedis, Lusevera, Nimis.

Lusevera (Slovene: Bardo; Friulian: Lusevare) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Udine, on the border with Slovenia, and borders the following municipalities: Gemona del Friuli, Kobarid (Slovenia), Montenars, Nimis, Resia, Taipana, Tarcento, and Venzone.

The Arboreto Pascul is an arboretum located near Pradandons, Tarcento, Province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It is open weekdays; admission is free. The arboretum was established in 1953 by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional government, primarily to cultivate exotic conifers. In 1974 its mission expanded to encompass botanical education, and to this end its collections now include as many species as possible of both conifer and hardwood, exotic and indigenous. It currently contains about 2,000 plants representing 72 species from 40 genera (14 gymnosperm and 26 angiosperm).

Povoletto (Friulian: Paulêt) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Udine.
