Magnano in Riviera (Friulian: Magnan) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 km (12 mi) northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2018, it had a population of 2,333 and an area of 8.5 km2 (3.3 sq mi). Magnano in Riviera borders the following municipalities: Artegna, Cassacco, Montenars, Tarcento, Treppo Grande.

Artegna (Friulian: Dartigne; ‹See Tfd›German: Ardingen) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Udine. As of 2008, it had a population of 2,951 and an area of 11.2 square kilometres (4.3 sq mi). Artegna borders the following municipalities: Buja, Gemona del Friuli, Magnano in Riviera and Montenars.

The Arboreto Pascul is an arboretum located near Pradandons, Tarcento, Province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It is open weekdays; admission is free. The arboretum was established in 1953 by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional government, primarily to cultivate exotic conifers. In 1974 its mission expanded to encompass botanical education, and to this end its collections now include as many species as possible of both conifer and hardwood, exotic and indigenous. It currently contains about 2,000 plants representing 72 species from 40 genera (14 gymnosperm and 26 angiosperm).

The municipality of Gemona del Friuli contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Campagnola, Campolessi, Maniaglia, Ospedaletto, Godo, Centro Storico, Stalis, Taviele and Taboga. Gemona del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Artegna, Bordano, Buja, Lusevera, Montenars, Osoppo, Trasaghis and Venzone.

Buja borders the following municipalities: Artegna, Colloredo di Monte Albano, Gemona del Friuli, Majano, Osoppo, Treppo Grande.

Gemona del Friuli (Italian: Stazione di Gemona del Friuli) is a railway station serving the town of Gemona del Friuli, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. The station opened on 15 November 1875 and is located on the Pontebbana railway (Udine–Tarvisio) and Gemona del Friuli-Casarsa railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia and ÖBB.

Cassacco (Friulian: Cjassa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,880 and an area of 11.6 square kilometres (4.5 sq mi).The municipality of Cassacco contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Conoglano, Martinazzo, Raspano, and Montegnacco. Cassacco borders the following municipalities: Colloredo di Monte Albano, Magnano in Riviera, Tarcento, Treppo Grande, Tricesimo.

Lusevera (Slovene: Bardo; Friulian: Lusevare) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Udine, on the border with Slovenia, and borders the following municipalities: Gemona del Friuli, Kobarid (Slovenia), Montenars, Nimis, Resia, Taipana, Tarcento, and Venzone.

Nimis (Slovene: Neme) is a town and comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine, Friuli, in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, near the border with Slovenia. It is located at the foot of Mount Bernadia, home to a World War I Italian fort and to a sweet white wine called Ramandolo. The town is bordered by the municipalities of Attimis, Lusevera, Povoletto, Reana del Rojale, Taipana, and Tarcento. According to the 1971 census, 25.4% of the population are Slovenes, but these are located mainly in some villages on the surrounding hills and not in the main town and the rest of the plain. Due to the ethnic, linguistic, and cultural features of their population, the mountainous parts of the municipality are considered part of the traditional region known as the Friulian Slavia. In the remaining part of the municipality, Friulian is still widely spoken.

Colloredo di Monte Albano (Friulian: Colorêt di Montalban) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of Udine.

Osoppo (Friulian: Osôf) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Udine. Osoppo borders the following municipalities: Buja, Forgaria nel Friuli, Gemona del Friuli, Majano, San Daniele del Friuli, Trasaghis. Osoppo hosts a large fortress (La Fortezza o Rocca di Osoppo), now an historical attraction. It played a large role in the defense of Venice against the Austrians in the late 1850s during the time of the Italian Unification of Italy. It was shortly after one of the main battles at this fortress that Leonardo Andervolti composed his treatise, Meritorious Champions of Italian Independence, a eulogy to a mythical figure, Enrico Ulissi.
