As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,471 and an area of 17.5 square kilometres (6.8 sq mi).The municipality of Tricesimo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ara Grande, Ara Piccola, Felettano, Fraelacco, Leonacco, Braidamatta, Colgallo, and Adorgnano. Tricesimo borders the following municipalities: Cassacco, Pagnacco, Reana del Rojale, Tarcento, Tavagnacco, Treppo Grande, Fagagna.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,824 and an area of 14.9 square kilometres (5.8 sq mi).The municipality of Pagnacco contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Castellerio, Fontanabona, Lazzacco, Modoletto, Plaino, and Zampis. Pagnacco borders the following municipalities: Colloredo di Monte Albano, Martignacco, Moruzzo, Tavagnacco, Tricesimo.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,240 and an area of 17.9 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi).The municipality of Moruzzo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Alnicco, Brazzacco, Telezae, Modotto, and Santa Margherita del Gruagno. Moruzzo borders the following municipalities: Colloredo di Monte Albano, Fagagna, Martignacco, Pagnacco. It is also known as the "Beverly Hills" of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Parco Botanico Friulano "Cormor", also known as the Parco del Cormor or Parco Botanico del Cormôr, is a municipal park and botanical garden located in Udine, Friuli, Italy. The park was created 1990–93 by architect Roberto Pirzio Biroli, for which he won the International Piranesi Award, on a neglected site northwest of the town center. It covers 30 hectares between the Cormôr torrent and the Autostrada Alpe-Adria (A23), with dense plantings of woodland, open lawns, a belvedere, paths and small roads, and a children's play area.

Palasport Primo Carnera is an indoor sporting arena located in Udine, Italy. The capacity of the arena is 3,850 people. It is currently home of the Pallalcesto Amatori Udine basketball team. It is named after former world heavyweight boxing champion Primo Carnera, who was born in Sequals, near Udine.The Palasport Primo Carnera will host many games of the 2017 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup, including the final.

The Stadio Friuli (known for sponsorship reasons as Dacia Arena) is an all-seater football stadium in Udine, Italy, and the home of Serie A club Udinese. The stadium was built in 1976 and has a capacity of 25,144. It is sponsored by Romanian car manufacturer Dacia.

The University of Udine (Italian Università degli Studi di Udine) is a university in the city of Udine, Italy. It was founded in 1978 as part of the reconstruction plan of Friuli after the earthquake in 1976. Its aim was to provide the Friulian community with an independent centre for advanced training in cultural and scientific studies and it is an important centre for the studies of Friulian language. The University is actively involved in student and staff exchange projects with universities within the European Union, Australia and Canada, and is currently engaged in close collaboration with several universities from Eastern Europe and other non-EU countries. Moreover, the University participates in many research projects at national and international level. The present number of students enrolled at the University is approximate 17,000.

The Archdiocese of Udine (Latin: Archidioecesis Utinensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church in Italy. The see was established in 1751 when the Patriarchal see of Aquileia was divided. From 1818 to 1846 it was a suffragan diocese of the Patriarch of Venice.

Fagagna (Friulian: Feagne) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region Friuli Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) northwest of Udine. As of 2011, it had a population of 6,279 and an area of 37.0 square kilometres (14.3 sq mi). It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").The municipality of Fagagna contains the frazioni (boroughs) Ciconicco, Villalta, San Giovanni in Colle, Battaglia, and Madrisio. Fagagna borders the following municipalities: Basiliano, Colloredo di Monte Albano, Martignacco, Mereto di Tomba, Moruzzo, Rive d'Arcano, San Vito di Fagagna. It is well known among nature-lovers for being the municipality which holds the nature reserve which bred the critically endangered Northern Bald Ibis or Waldrapp, from which 37 of the many individuals present were released in 2014 (under somewhat mysterious circumstances).The local festival held every September includes two traditional events which attract tourists: the donkey race (since 1891), and the Palio dei Borghi, theatre performances given by the inhabitants of the four borghi, the districts of the town, on the main square.
