Linley, More

More is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It lies near the border with Wales and the nearest town is Bishop's Castle. There is a parish church in the village. The civil parish extends greatly to the north of the village, encompassing a large tract of rural upland, and includes the community of Linley.Nearby is the larger settlement of Lydham, which is outside the civil parish and on the A488 road.

Heath Mynd is a hill in the English county of Shropshire. At a height of 452 metres (1,483 ft) it is fairly unnotable except for its Marilyn status, a feature caused by the sharp drop on all sides. The Bog is a former mining community in Shropshire, England. It lies 6 miles (10 km) north of Bishops Castle, east of the A488, at grid reference SO355979. It was once a busy village with over 200 buildings. Now only a few remain. The local mines produced lead and barytes until the early 20th century. The mine at The Bog and the adjacent Stiperstones outcrop were only viable because of a geological movement; over time the movement of the tectonic plates landed at this site, combined with the movement of the earth it crumpled the layers and the softest layers were then eroded away. After mining stopped, the undisturbed remnants provided a range of wildlife habitats: birds nest in the old buildings, bats roost in the old mine tunnels, and reservoirs and ponds are ideal for aquatic life.

Wentnor is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It lies to the west of the Long Mynd and between the village and the hill range is the dispersed settlement of Prolly Moor. The village itself is situated atop a hill, which rises to 269 metres (883 ft) above sea level, with the Criftin Brook to the east and the River East Onny to the west. The nearest towns are Church Stretton and Bishop's Castle, the village of Asterton lies 1 mile to the south east of the village. There is a parish church and two public houses: the "Crown" in the village itself and the "Inn on the Green" which is in a hamlet, just outside the village, by the River East Onny called The Green.

Bishop's Castle is a market town in the south west of Shropshire, England. According to the 2011 Census it had a population of 1,893. Bishop's Castle is 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of the Wales-England border, about 20 miles (30 km) north-west of Ludlow and about 20 miles (30 km) south-west of Shrewsbury. To the south is Clun and to the east is Church Stretton. The town is within an agricultural area and has also become known for its alternative community including artists, musicians, writers and craftspeople. The surrounding area is hillwalking country and Bishop's Castle is a "Walkers are Welcome Town", gaining the award in 2008. The long distance footpath the Shropshire Way runs through the town and Offa's Dyke is only a few miles to the west. The ancient trackway of the Kerry Ridgeway, a prehistoric Bronze Age route, runs from the town. The BC Ring, a 60-mile (100 km) challenging route around the town, was published in 2008. The town has two micro-breweries, including the Three Tuns, the UK's oldest brewery.
