Rupit

Rupit i Pruit (Catalan pronunciation: [ruˈpit i ˈpɾujt]) is a municipality in the comarca of Osona in Catalonia, Spain situated in the Sierra de la Cabrera mountain range near Barcelona. It is made up of two formerly separate settlements, Rupit and Pruit, which were independent until 1977. The medieval village of Rupit emerged around the 12th century thanks to important local families. The most notable feature is its old town, which is connected by a suspension bridge. Rocallarga is a mountain of the Guilleries Massif, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 1,186.5 metres (3,893 ft) above sea level.

L'Agullola is a mountain of the Guilleries Massif, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 921.9 metres above sea level. The plateau known as Pla de Fàbregues lies NW of the summit. L'Agullola Grossa is a sharp rocky outcrop rising just SE of the cliff wall.

Tavertet is a small town located above some cliffs, 900m above sea level, in the area known as Collsacabra, north of the Guilleries, in the comarca of Osona in Catalonia. Below the cliffs is Pantà de Sau, a reservoir that dammed the waters of the river Ter in the 1960s. Tavertet is nowadays a tourist-oriented town with many holiday homes, where Raimon Panikkar lived. Tavertet is linked by road BV5207 to the town of L'Esquirol, also known as Santa Maria de Corcó. There is also a minor road north of the village above the cliffs through a beech forest linking the town to Rupit.

Susqueda is a municipality in the comarca of the Selva in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Guilleries Massif area, on the left bank of the Ter river in the north-west of the comarca. The Susqueda reservoir is on the municipal territory, and the associated hydroelectric power station is an important source of local income. A local road links the municipality with the C-152 road to Santa Coloma de Farners.

Sant Feliu de Pallerols is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 34.8 square kilometres (13.4 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 1,353. From 1902, Sant Feliu de Pallerols was linked to Girona by the narrow gauge Olot–Girona railway, which was extended to Olot in 1911. The line closed in 1969 and has since been converted into a greenway. The area is notable for its many waterfalls. To visit them you need to book a ticket on the protected Space of the river Brugent. The natural river pools are called: Miami or Boix Pound, Valls pound, and La Mola or la Torra Pound.

El Far (cim de Susqueda) is a mountain of the Guilleries Massif, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 1,122.8 metres above sea level. There is a chapel up de mountain known as Santuari del Far.

Sau Reservoir (Catalan: Pantà de Sau) is a reservoir located on the Ter river, near Vilanova de Sau, Catalonia, Spain. The dam was completed in 1962, creating a reservoir with a storage capacity of 151.3 hm³ that covered the former town of Sant Romà de Sau. The Church of Sant Romà is still visible when the water level is low. The dam has a structural height of 83 m and a crest length of 260 m.

Susqueda Reservoir (Catalan: Pantà de Susqueda; Spanish: Embalse de Susqueda) is a reservoir located on the Ter river, near Osor, Catalonia, Spain. The dam is located in Osor while the main water body is within the boundaries of Susqueda and Sant Hilari Sacalm. The construction of the dam was completed in 1968, creating a reservoir with a storage capacity of 233 hm³ that covered the old villages of Susqueda and Querós. The dam has a structural height of 135 m and a crest length of 360 m.

Les Planes d'Hostoles is a village and municipality in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 37.51 square kilometres (14.48 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 1,694. From 1900, Les Planes d'Hostoles was linked to Girona by the narrow gauge Olot–Girona railway, which was extended to Sant Feliu de Pallerols in 1902 and Olot in 1911. The line closed in 1969 and has since been converted into a greenway. In this Área there are lots of waterfalls. To visit them you need to book a ticket on the protected Space of the river Brugent.
