Stockton is a village and civil parish 17 miles (27 km) south east of Shrewsbury, in the Shropshire district, in the county of Shropshire, England. The parish includes the village of Norton and the hamlet of Higford. In 2011, the parish had a population of 331. The parish touches Astley Abbotts, Badger, Barrow, Beckbury, Broseley, Sutton Maddock and Worfield.

Sutton Maddock is a village and civil parish 16 miles (26 km) south east of Shrewsbury, in the Shropshire district, in the county of Shropshire, England. The parish includes the hamlet of Brockton. In 2011 the parish had a population of 254. The parish touches Barrow, Beckbury, Broseley, The Gorge, Kemberton, Madeley, Ryton and Stockton.

Apley Hall is an English Gothic Revival house located in the parish of Stockton near Bridgnorth, Shropshire. The building was completed in 1811 with adjoining property of 180 acres (0.73 km2) of private parkland beside the River Severn. It was once home to the Whitmore & Foster families. The Hall is a Grade II* listed building claimed as one of the largest in the county of Shropshire.

Stanley Hall, near Astley Abbotts in Shropshire, England, is a Grade II–listed building that first gained its protected status in 1970. It probably dates to the early 17th century. It was for a time the family seat of the Tyrwhitt baronets.

The River Worfe is a river in Shropshire, England. The name Worfe is said to derive from the Old English meaning to wander (or meander) which the river is notable for in its middle section. Mapping indicates that the river begins at Cosford Bridge where the Cosford Brook and Albrighton Brook meet (Cosford Brook, a local name, is itself the confluence of the Ruckley Brook and Neachley Brook).

The Severn Way is a waymarked long-distance footpath in the United Kingdom, which follows the course of the River Severn through Mid Wales and western England. According to the Long Distance Walkers Association the Severn Way is 224 miles (360 km) long.

Apley Forge is a village in Shropshire, England, north of the town of Bridgnorth.

Linley, later Linley Halt, was a small railway station on the Severn Valley line in Shropshire, England. The station was built as a condition of constructing the railway at the behest of Thomas C. Whitmore of Apley Park estate, through which the railway runs. Apley Hall lies on the opposite bank of the River Severn to the station. Access from the estate to the station was originally by ferry and later via a chain suspension bridge. The single siding accessed by means of a ground frame was taken out of use in December 1957. The siding connected with the running line with a trailing connection in the up direction. The station closed on 9 September 1963 as part of the planned closure of the northern end of the Severn Valley Line which pre-dated the Beeching report. The little altered station building survives as a private residence although the canopy that provided shelter to passengers on the platform has been removed. The building is to the same design as Hampton Loade, on the preserved Severn Valley Railway.

Astley Abbotts is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England, located immediately north of Bridgnorth, and straddling the B4373 Bridgnorth to Broseley road. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 396.The Church inside the village is known as St Calixtus' church, named after Saint Calixtus. The church is a stone building and has both Norman and Anglo Saxon roots. The church was originally constructed in 1138 and was later consecrated on 14 October 1138, by the Bishop of Hereford. Since then, the majority of the church has been rebuilt. However, the Church of England in Bridgnorth comment that there are still parts of the older church that still exist today. Inside the Church can be found the faded remains of a 'maiden's garland', a heart-shaped wooden frame decorated with gloves, cloth and ribbons. Such garlands were once the fashion to commemorate maidens who died before marriage. The one at Astley Abbotts has a ribbon-like piece of paper saying, in still legible handwriting, that it commemorates Hannah Phillips, who unfortunately drowned while crossing the River Severn a day or two before her wedding.Astley Abbotts was famous for its lavender fields in the centre of the village near the church, now abandoned, although some lavender still can be found. Nearby the village is located a mansion called Stanley Hall with both Stanley Hall and its grounds having links to early 17th century, Stanley Hall has a magnificent red brick building with a gabled end and incorporating traces of a possibly earlier sandstone building. The grounds, which open occasionally under the National Gardens Scheme, are extensive and well-tended.

Davenport House is an historic country house in the English village of Worfield, Shropshire. Located to the southwest of the village centre, it was built around 1727, and is now a Grade I listed building. Its grounds are listed at Grade II status.The house was built by the architect Francis Smith of Warwick for Henry Davenport. It is in red brick with buff sandstone dressings on a stone plinth, with rusticated quoins, a modillion cornice, and a parapet with four urns. The house consists of a main block with two storeys an attic and a basement, and nine bays on the front and five bays on the sides. This is flanked by quadrant walls with rusticated pilasters leading to service pavilions with two storeys, five bays, and hipped slate roofs with cupolas. In the centre is a porch with fluted Ionic columns, a cornice, and a balustraded parapet. The windows are sashes with moulded architraves, those in the ground floor also with entablatures.Restored in 2017, it is now used for events such as weddings, conferences and private parties.

Worfield is a village and civil parish in Shropshire in the West Midlands, England. It is 120 miles (190 km) northwest of London and 10 miles (16 km) west of Wolverhampton. It is north of Bridgnorth and southeast of Telford. The parish, which includes the hamlet of Chesterton, is an extensive one which lies on the River Worfe. The name Worfield comes from its location on the river Worfe and the surrounding countryside (fields). The manor of Worfield is mentioned in Domesday Book, where it formed part of the Seisdon Hundred of Staffordshire and was held by Hugh of Montgomery, 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury.
