The University of Washington School of Social Work offers undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degree programs in social work with an enrollment of more than 600 students. The School is located in the University District neighborhood of Seattle, Washington adjacent to the main University of Washington campus. Beginning in the early 1900s, the School developed from a single course to an independent department accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Today, the School is ranked as one of the United States' top graduate programs in social work by the U.S. News & World Report.

The Last Exit on Brooklyn was a Seattle University District coffeehouse established in 1967 by Irv Cisski. It is known for its part in the history of Seattle's counterculture, for its pioneering role in establishing Seattle's coffee culture, and as a former chess venue frequented by several master players.

The College of Built Environments (CBE) is an academic college at the University of Washington in Seattle. The CBE offers programs in architecture, construction management, landscape architecture, real estate, and urban planning. From 1957 to 2009, it was known as the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP). Today, the College of Built Environments is made up of five core units: Architecture/Architectural Design, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Real Estate, and Urban Design & Planning. It also houses two interdisciplinary Ph.D. degrees, as well as several other interdisciplinary centers and institutes. The 2009 name change reflects an integrated approach to planning, design, and construction that will be necessary to take on the 21st-century global challenges of urbanization and climate change. Renée Cheng is the current dean.

The College Inn (formerly known as Ye College Inn) is a nationally recognized historic building in Seattle. It is located at the Northeast corner of University Way ne and NE 40th Street in the University District one block west of the University of Washington. Built by local developer Charles Cowen (namesake of Cowen Park), It was designed in 1909 by Graham & Myers and is an excellent example of Tudor Revival architecture used on a commercial building. Graham & Myers would design at least 50 houses for Cowen's University Park subdivision. At the time of its construction, the university campus was the site of the Alaska–Yukon–Pacific Exposition and Ye College Inn was intended to function as a small hotel for fairgoers. It later provided housing for students as well as commercial services on the lower floor. Currently it houses a boutique hotel (College Inn Hotel), three cafes, and a pub.. Following a complete restoration in 1979, The College Inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Bulldog News is a coffee shop and newsstand in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. The cafe has operated in the University District since 1983, and has had an outpost on Capitol Hill.

Café Allegro is a coffeeshop in the University District of Seattle, Washington, United States. It is notable for being one of the city's first espresso shops and for its role in the history of Starbucks, as the place where founding proprietor Dave Olsen designed the Starbucks coffee product line. Situated in an alleyway, the cafe features multiple entrances and rooms.

Terry and Lander Halls are two student residence halls of the University of Washington. They have occupied various buildings over the years, have always been residence halls and always next to each other until the current construction which has Maple Hall between them. The set of buildings was named for Charles and Mary Terry and Judge Edward Lander, who contributed part of the land for the original Territorial University's 10-acre (40,000 m2) Seattle campus in 1861.

In September 2018, the Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering (CSNE) changed its name to the Center for Neurotechnology (CNT) to highlight the role of neurotechnologies in healing the brain and spinal cord. The CNT is an Engineering Research Center funded by the National Science Foundation to create devices to restore the body's capabilities for sensation and movement. The National Science Foundation has awarded the CNT $~30 million since 2011.The CNT is based at the University of Washington, and its main partner organizations are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and San Diego State University (SDSU). CNT researchers specialize in fields related to neural engineering including: Biological and traditional engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, neurological surgery, neuroscience and neurobiology and philosophy. Center faculty also hail from various fields of medicine and assist with real-world implementation of designs. The CNT places a strong emphasis on neuroethics, exploring how ethical issues such as identity, privacy, and moral or legal responsibility in relation to the expanding field of neural technologies.

Nine Spaces Nine Trees (sometimes Nine Spaces, Nine Trees, sometimes 9 Spaces 9 Trees) is a 1982–1983 art installation by American artist Robert Irwin, located on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. The installation was surveyed and deemed "well maintained" by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1995. It was recreated in 2007.

John T. Condon Hall is an academic building of the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. The building formerly housed the UW School of Law. The hall was named after John T. Condon, the first dean of the School of Law.

George Washington, also known as the President George Washington Monument, is a bronze sculpture of George Washington by Lorado Taft, installed at the University of Washington campus in Seattle's University District, in the U.S. state of Washington.
