Greece is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. A suburb of Rochester, New York, it is the largest town by population in Monroe County, and the second-largest municipality by population in the county, behind only the City of Rochester. As of April, 2020, the town has a population of 96,926.

The Mall at Greece Ridge is located in Greece, New York, a suburb of Rochester, New York, and managed by Wilmorite Properties. It contains 119 stores and restaurants in the main concourse. The mall features the traditional retailers Macy's, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Burlington, a free-standing Target, and an Apple Cinemas. The mall also features the specialty retailers Barnes & Noble, Michaels, Old Navy, and local stalwart Ruby-Gordon. The mall is near the center of a long line of plazas, chain hotels, restaurants, and car dealerships which continues for several miles in each direction on Ridge Road (New York State Route 104).

Unity Hospital, an affiliate hospital of Rochester Regional Health, is a 471-bed community hospital in Greece, New York. After a four-year renovation in 2014, Unity is now the only Monroe County hospital to feature all private patient rooms and free parking. Unity offers a broad range of specialty centers, including the Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehabilitation Center; the Charles J. August Joint Replacement Center and the August Family Birth Place. The hospital is also a New York State-designated Stroke Center.

Greece Olympia School is a high school located in Rochester, New York, United States. It is a member of Project Lead the Way. It is one of four high schools in the Greece Central School District, along with Greece Athena, Greece Arcadia, and Odyssey Academy.

The 1978 Holiday Inn fire broke out at a Holiday Inn hotel located at 1525 West Ridge Road in the town of Greece, New York, United States, on November 26, 1978. The fire was considered notable enough by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Center for Fire Research to document the fire in their 1979 publications. In the end, ten people were killed and 34 injured; seven of the fatalities were Canadian nationals. In 2008, the NFPA listed the 1978 Holiday Inn fire as one of only three dozen or so fires which killed ten or more people in the U.S. between 1934 and 2006.

Greece Athena High School serves grades 9–12 as a part of the Greece Central School District in Greece, New York, a suburb of Rochester, New York. It occupies the 1st and 2nd floors of the Athena Complex and shares its library and the Greece Performing Arts Center (G.P.A.C.) with Greece Athena Middle School, which is located on the 3rd floor. The high school and middle school was visited by President George W. Bush in 2005.The school gained increased prominence after the February 15, 2006 Trojans basketball game vs the Spencerport Rangers when basketball coach Jim Johnson inserted his team manager Jason McElwain with 4 minutes and 19 seconds left on the clock, McElwain, who has autism, ended up scoring twenty points including six three-point shots and one two-point shot, when the buzzer rang the crowd stormed the court in celebration and lifted McElwain on their shoulders.

Greece Athena Middle School is a middle school in Greece, New York, a suburb of Rochester; it is located on the 3rd floor of the Athena Complex & covers grades 6–8. This school (along with the high school) was visited by President George W. Bush in 2005. The school is also the location of the Greece Central Performing Arts Center (G.P.A.C.). The high school shares the library together with the middle school, along with the G.P.A.C.

WGMC (90.1 FM) is a listener-supported station licensed to Greece, New York and serving Rochester, New York. It airs a Jazz radio format. On air, the station is identified as "Jazz 90.1" in reference to its FM frequency. WGMC specializes in all styles of jazz, but is also an important outlet for music and voices that do not make it onto commercial radio. Owned by the Greece Central School District but operated independently, the WGMC studios are located in the Greece Olympia High School media center.

Odyssey Academy is a middle/high school in the town of Greece, New York. It is part of the Greece Central School District. Odyssey Academy serves over 1,000 students, partially selected by a random lottery from applicants across Greece, serving grades 6-12. During the summer of 2012, Odyssey Academy moved from 133 Hoover Drive to the former Apollo Middle School location at 750 Maiden Lane. 133 Hoover Drive was the location for Hoover Drive Middle School before becoming Greece Odyssey in 1993. In 2004, it became Odyssey Academy and is one of the oldest school buildings in Greece, having been built in 1928 as a K-8 school known as Willis N. Britton School, the same time Paddy Hill's formed Greece Consolidated School District #5 School, and when the Dewey Stone area Union Free School District 15 was known as Barnard. It was not until the 1961 school year when it became a junior high school for students in grades 7-9 and the elementary grades were divided up and sent to other district schools in Greece Central School District.
