Shiramine Shrine

Seimei Shrine (晴明神社, Seimei-jinja) is a Shinto shrine that is located in Kyoto, Japan. It is dedicated to the onmyōji, Abe no Seimei.

The Kyoto City Archaeological Museum (京都市考古資料館) is located in Kyoto and showcases the city's archaeological findings. The building was constructed in 1914. A part of its exhibit are replicas of the golden tea utensils of the 16th century Golden Tea Room.

Kamigyō-ku (上京区, かみぎょうく) is one of the eleven wards in the city of Kyoto, in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The ward was a district of residences for the royalty, aristocrats and upper classes in the old capital of JapanーHeian-kyō. Located in the center of the present-day city of Kyoto, Japan, it previously occupied the northern region of the ancient capital of Kyoto. The Kamo River flows on the eastern border of the ward. The ward is home to the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the Kitano Tenmangu Shinto shrine, the Seimei shrine, nishijin-ori textiles, and the headquarters of the Omotesenke and Urasenke schools of Japanese tea ceremony. As of 2020, Kamigyō-ku had a population of 83,832 people. The Masugata Shōtengai Shopping District, is the setting of the 2013 anime series, Tamako Market, produced by Kyoto Animation.

Hōkyō-ji (宝慶寺) is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple founded about 1278 in Echizen, Fukui prefecture, Japan.

The St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (カトリック西陣聖ヨゼフ教会) is s a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in the Nishijin district of the city of Kyoto. It is the second oldest Catholic Church in Kyoto.

Honpō-ji (本法寺) is a Nichiren Buddhist (specifically Nichiren-shū) temple in Kyoto, Japan. Its sangō (山号; lit., "mountain name"; a type of appellation carried by many Buddhist temples) is "Eishōzan" (叡昌山).

Kyoto International School (KIS), formerly known as Kyoto Christian Day School, is an international school in Kyoto, Japan, founded in 1957. It serves students from 3 to 16 years old. The school has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1992 and authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) since 2006.KIS has an enrollment of approximately 130 students from around 20 different countries. The school is divided into four parts: Early Years, Primary, Middle School and High School. KIS also offers an English immersion program on Saturdays for students aged 3 to 12 years old.

Doshisha University is one of the most prestigious universities in Japan today, with particularly strong influence in the Kansai region, and is considered one of the most selective private universities in Japan. The acceptance rate for the 40,924 applicants for the 2014 academic year was 35.6%, with acceptance rate in some departments under 15%. In 2013, the university was ranked fourth among Japanese private universities for "schools to which parents wish to send their child", following Waseda University, Keio University, Meiji University and eleventh for "hidden prestigious schools that you know", following Waseda University, Keio University, Meiji University and so on. Kyoto Prefecture forms part of the Keihanshin metropolitan area, the second-most-populated region in Japan after the Greater Tokyo area and one of the world's most productive regions by GDP.
