Tahoma National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery in unincorporated King County, Washington. It encompasses 158.3 acres (64.1 ha), and as of the end of 2019, had over 60,000 interments, compared to the end of 2008 with 23,479 interments, and 15,924 interments in 2005. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it was the only national cemetery in the state of Washington until 2020, when the Vancouver Barracks National Cemetery was established.

Shadow Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 2,262 at the 2010 census.

Covington is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 20,777 at the time of the 2020 census. Prior to the 2010 census, Covington was counted as part of Covington-Sawyer-Wilderness CDP.

Kentwood High School is a high school in Covington, Washington. Kentwood is one of four high schools in the Kent School District. It serves students in grades nine through twelve who live in mainly in the east central region of the district. Its main feeder schools are Mattson and Meridian Middle Schools. Kentwood is one of Washington's largest high schools; its enrollment of more than 2,000 students even exceeds the enrollment of most other 4A high schools in the state. Kentwood High School's mascot is the Conquerors, or the "Conks".

Lake Youngs is a reservoir in King County, Washington. It is located between Maple Valley and Renton along the route of pipelines carrying water from the Cedar River to Seattle, and is accessible only to Seattle Public Utilities staff and authorized visitors.Originally the site of 548 acres (222 ha) Swan Lake, construction of the Lake Youngs reservoir began in earnest in the early 1920s and was completed by 1926. Lake Youngs has a surface area of 700 acres (2.8 km2) and a maximum depth of 72 feet (22 m). It was named for longtime Seattle Water Department head L. B. Youngs, who died in 1923. Lake Youngs is used as a visual checkpoint for pilots flying into and out of Renton Municipal Airport. Lake Youngs is drained by Little Soos Creek.

Covington-Sawyer-Wilderness was a Census-designated place in King County, Washington. The CDP was disbanded in 2000 United States Census, with portions incorporated into Covington, Black Diamond, and Maple Valley. The remainder was reassigned to Lake Morton-Berrydale CDP. The population in 1990 was 24,321 . The census area, located in the southern end of the county, was located at 47.352810 north, 122.073107 west.

Spring Lake is located in King County, Washington, in the Maple Heights-Lake Desire census-designated place. It sits next to Spring Lake/Lake Desire Park, on the opposite side of Lake Desire. The lake also has fishing opportunities.

Pipe Lake and Lake Lucerne are two lakes joined by a natural canal in King County, Washington. The larger Pipe Lake is located on the border of Covington and Maple Valley, while the smaller Lake Lucerne is located entirely within Maple Valley. Both lakes are entirely surrounded by private property.

The Cedar to Green River Trail, also known as the Lake Wilderness Trail is a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) soft surface rail trail in Washington. This trail is designated for non-motorized use and connects Maple Valley to Lake Wilderness. In Maple Valley it connects to the Cedar River Trail.

The Covington Electrical Substation, Bonneville Power Administration is an electrical substation in Covington, Washington. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2018.

Lake Desire, also called Echo Lake, is an unimproved watershed 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Renton, Washington in the United States. It is a small part of the Maple Heights-Lake Desire, Washington area, 45 minutes east of downtown Seattle. According to King County, it has productive water quality, a maximum depth of 21 feet (6.4 m) and a surface area of approximately 80 acres. A public boat launch and fishing dock is located to the north of the lake but does require a vehicle use permit from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. On the southeast border of the lake, a 382-acre (1.55 km2) forested park and wetland area has been allocated by the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP).

Maple Valley is a city in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 28,013 at the 2020 census. The city functions as a commuter town for residents, though there is an increasing amount of commercial activity in the area.
