Dash Point is an unincorporated community in Pierce County, Washington, United States. Because it is not incorporated, no census population figures are available. Dash Point is a residential area surrounded by Puget Sound to the north, Dash Point State Park to the east, and the city of Tacoma to the south and west. Dash Point is located across Commencement Bay from downtown Tacoma.Dash Point relies entirely on Tacoma for city services, and lacks a town center of its own. Although Dash Point is located in Pierce County, Dash Point State Park is located in neighboring King County.

Dash Point State Park is a 398-acre (161 ha) Washington state park on Puget Sound that straddles the line between King and Pierce counties. The park has over 3,300 feet (1,000 m) of shoreline, 140 campsites, 11 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, and offers beachcombing, fishing, swimming, birdwatching, windsurfing, skimboarding, and wildlife viewing.

KKMO (1360 kHz "El Rey") is a commercial AM radio station in Tacoma, Washington. It is owned by Sea Mar Community Health Centers, LLC, and it airs a classic Regional Mexican radio format. KKMO is powered at 5,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is on Browns Point near Puget Sound in Tacoma.

Browns Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pierce County, Washington, United States, bordered by Tacoma on the east and Puget Sound on all other sides. The population was 1,198 at the 2010 census. The Tacoma neighborhood immediately adjacent to Browns Point is also referred to locally as "Browns Point" (although it is also often referred to as Northeast Tacoma).

Hylebos Creek is a stream located in the U.S. state of Washington near Tacoma and emptying into Commencement Bay, part of Puget Sound. It flows through southern King County and northern Pierce County, through the cities of Tacoma, Federal Way, Milton, and Fife, as well as the Puyallup Indian Reservation.

Lake Tacoma is the name given the freshwater lake in the basin of the Puyallup River and the Green River (Duwamish River) at the point in time that the Vashon Glacier had receded northward into Commencement Bay. Prior to this, it was referred to as the Lake Puyallup. The bluff on which this city is built is used as the landmark where Lake Puyallup ceased and it became Lake Tacoma.

The Puyallup River ( pew-AL-əp) is a river in the U.S. state of Washington. About 45 miles (72 km) long, it is formed by glaciers on the west side of Mount Rainier. It flows generally northwest, emptying into Commencement Bay, part of Puget Sound. The river and its tributaries drain an area of about 948 square miles (2,460 km2) in Pierce County and southern King County.The river's watershed is the youngest in the Puget Sound region, having been formed from a series of lahars starting about 5,600 years ago. The valley's 150,000 residents are at risk from future lahars. For this reason, the United States Geological Survey has installed a lahar warning system.

Commencement Bay is a bay of Puget Sound in the U.S. state of Washington. The city of Tacoma is located on the bay, with the Port of Tacoma occupying the southeastern end. A line drawn from Point Defiance in the southwest to Browns Point in the northeast serves to mark the generally accepted division between the bay and the open sound. Commencement Bay has become home to one of the most active commercial ports in the world. The Port of Tacoma is the main port facility. The Puyallup River is the largest freshwater stream emptying into the bay. Others include Ruston Creek, Mason Creek, Asarco Creek, Puget Creek, Hylebos Creek, and Wapato Creek.

Fire Station No. 15 is a fire station located in Tacoma, Washington listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Tacoma architect, M. J. Nicholson, in 1928. It is no longer in active service since being shuttered when Tacoma relocated Engine 15 to Tacoma's lower east side in 2012, but as of 2017 is being considered for renovation and reopening. Due to the fact that there is now a different active Station 15, this location has been renamed as Station 5 following the closure of the previous Station 5, a defunct fireboat facility.

The Northwest Seaport Alliance is a port authority based in the Puget Sound region of the United States, comprising the seaports of Seattle and Tacoma in Washington state. The combined port authority is the third largest cargo port in the United States and by container volume. The two seaports, which had been rivals for most of the 20th century but lost ground to nearby ports in British Columbia, proposed a merger of marine cargo operations in 2014. A public development authority was created in 2015 and approved by the Federal Maritime Commission, resulting in the formation of The Northwest Seaport Alliance on August 4, 2015.

The Tacoma station was a passenger rail station in Tacoma, Washington, owned by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (the "Milwaukee Road"). It opened in 1954 and closed in 1961. It was the Milwaukee Road's final station in Tacoma, replacing a station formerly owned by the Tacoma Eastern Railroad.
