Chinnamalai

The Little Mount Shrine is a church located on a hillock in Chinnamalai, Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to St. Thomas and to Our Lady of Health. It is traditionally acknowledged to be one of the places where St. Thomas, an apostle of Jesus, lived and preached when he came to India. In 1551 AD, the Portuguese built a Church over the site where St. Thomas is believed to have lived in. Later, in the year 1970, a part of this old Church was demolished and a larger circular Church was built to accommodate more devotees. There is a cave on Little Mount where, according to tradition, St. Thomas lived for some time as a refuge from persecution. Two churches stand on the hill today. One is the old Portuguese-built church dedicated to Our Lady of Good Health, which was built in 1551. The cave is accessible through this church. The other is a newer church built in 1971 or 1972, replacing the older parish church.

The health district in Chengalpet district is split into Saidapet hud and Kanchipuram hud. Panagal building which is a part of Saidapet is a famous landmark.

China Bazaar Road, officially Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Road (or NSC Bose Road), is one of the main thoroughfares of the commercial centre of George Town in Chennai, India. The road connects Rajaji Salai in the east with Wall Tax Road in the west. Saidapet Kamakshi Amman Temple is a Hindu temple in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Located in Chetty Street in the neighbourhood of Saidapet, the temple is administered by the Vishwakarma community. The presiding deity is the goddess Kamakshi. The temple is located near the Saidapet railway station and is believed to be more than 300 years old. The temple is one of the five holy shrines of the Viswakarma community in Chennai district.

SPIC building, Chennai, is one of the oldest skyscrapers of the city. Earlier, it was popularly known as "twin towers of Chennai." The main building has 10 floors and Annexe building has 8 floors. It houses the headquarters of Southern Petrochemical Industries Corp. Ltd., a joint venture between the MA Chidambaram Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corp. Ltd (TIDCO). It is one of the Asia's largest fertilizer factories located in southern part of India. The building is built facing Guindy railway station, on Anna Salai. The SPIC administrative building was built in 1977 and Annexe building in the year 1993. However, one of the two buildings still stand, the other being sold and partly demolished, underscoring the declining fortunes of the company.

Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University (TNJMFAU), formerly and commonly known as Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University (TNMFAU), is a government music and fine arts university situated in Adyar in the southern part of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is about 14 km (8.7 mi) from the Chennai International Airport and about 10 km (6.2 mi) from the Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Railway Station. It is one of the premier music and fine arts universities named after the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa.
