Binta International Schools is a group of schools founded by Wale Adenuga and located in Lagos State. It operates a creche, nursery, basic and high schools. The school was established in Ejigbo in 1994, but later opened in Ajao Estate, Isolo. The slogan of the school is "the school for the child you love", while the motto is "excellence and discipline". The name "BINTA" is an acronym for "Best In Nurturing Talents and Academics". They offer scholarships to deserving students yearly. Binta International School was the secondary school of "Binta" in the national television series Binta and Friends.

Associated Aviation Flight 361 was a domestic charter flight operated by Associated Aviation that on 3 October 2013 crashed on takeoff from Lagos, Nigeria, killing 16 of the 20 people on board. The aircraft, a twin turboprop Embraer 120 Brasilia, was transporting the body of Nigerian politician Olusegun Agagu to Akure, Nigeria, for burial.

Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) (IATA: LOS, ICAO: DNMM) (Yoruba: Pápá Ọkọ̀ Òfurufú Káríayé Múrítàlá Mùhammẹ̀d) is an international airport located in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria, and is the major airport serving the entire state. The airport was initially built during World War II and is named after Murtala Muhammed (1938–1976), the fourth military ruler of Nigeria.

Isolo Public library is one of the 18 libraries established in Lagos State to encourage a reading culture in the residents of the state. It is under the Lagos State library board. Other libraries include Ikeja Secretariat library, Tolu Public library, Borno house library, and the Ipaja Public library.

The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) is a charismatic Christian megachurch located in Lagos, Nigeria.

On 12 September 2014, a guesthouse located within the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) premises around the Ikotun-Egbe area of Lagos State collapsed completely to the ground. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other emergency services were criticized for withholding information about the accident, and much remained unclear about the number of deaths and their nationalities.

Apata Memorial High School is a military-style private boarding school in Lagos, Nigeria. It was founded in 1980 by retired Nigerian Army Brigadier-General S. O. Apata (who was assassinated on January 8, 1995). The school has about 1550 pupils and 150 teachers. There are both boarding and day students. It is said to be the best school in Oshodi-Isolo local government and one of the best in lagos state.

Ikotun Market also known as irepodun market is an open-air market located in Ikotun, a metropolitan city in Alimosho local government area of Lagos State. The market which is particularly known for its price-based selling technique has about 8,400 lock-up shops and over 10,000 traders-selling items ranging from foodstuff to clothes, appliances, gadgets and so on, making it one of the biggest markets in Lagos and a major contributor to the growth of the economy of the state.Ikotun market which is headed by a "Baba Oja" or an "Iya Oja" has several market unions ranging from fashion, food and electricity.

The Ikeja City Mall is located at Alausa in Ikeja, Lagos State. It is the first of its kind on the Mainland of Metropolitan Lagos. There is a Silverbird cinema in the mall as well as Shoprite, eateries, clothing brands and clothing stores and different bank ATMs. Popularly known as Shoprite Ikeja or ICM, it serves as a meeting point or recreational spot for friends, family and business people.

It is located 10 km north of the Lagos city centre, adjacent to the main road to Ikeja, and is largely a congested residential area with low-quality housing. According to the 2006 census it had 633,009 inhabitants. The centre of Mushin is located around Ojuwoye Town. The word "Mushin" in the western part of Nigeria, originates from the picking of 'Ishin fruit' which is a portmanteau of two words: "mu", meaning "pick" and "Ishin", which is a fruit. The Great King of Mushin is Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru II (JP), Permanent Member of the Council of Obas in Lagos State.

Oba Fatai Ayinla Aileru (born 11 March 1938) The Great Monarch, is the current Oba (king) of Mushinland and the Chairman of Obas and Chiefs of Mushin Local Government. He is a First Class Oba (King) which qualifies him to be a Permanent Member of Council of Obas in Lagos State, Nigeria. Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs is one body, which has the capacity to contribute phenomenally to good governance in the State by constantly availing government of its wisdom and sound advice: using its tremendous influence to mobilize popular support for public policy as well as being an important source of communication and feedback between the government and the grassroots. The Institution of the Council of Obas and Chiefs is a critical building block that every government must engage seriously if development and orderly societal growth is at the core of its vision. As an Institution, the Council of Obas and Chiefs is as old as Lagos state itself. It was established following the creation of Lagos State through the Council of Obas and Chiefs of Lagos State, Edict 1969 which came into force in April, 1969. The erstwhile Council of Obas and Chiefs, which was constituted in December 1995 with Thirty-One members, was dissolved by the immediate past State executive Council at its 11th meeting held on Monday 28 May 2007. The new Council has a total of Fifty-one members drawn from the five divisions of the State namely Lagos Island, Ikeja, Epe, Ikorodu and Badagry.
