Otovci

Mačkovci (pronounced [matʃˈkoːu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Mátyásdomb) is a village in the Municipality of Puconci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. The section of the Slovenian Railways line between Murska Sobota and Hodoš runs through the village. To the west of the main settlement stands the Marof Mansion, a hunting lodge built by Count Szápáry around 1900. It was used as a summer residence by the counts of Murska Sobota. It is a two-story building with a turret on its east side and the original interior furnishings are preserved, although the surrounding park is no longer maintained. The mansion is currently being renovated and a wine cellar is being built in the hope of developing wine tourism in the region.

Vidonci (pronounced [ˈʋiːdɔntsi]; Hungarian: Vidorlak) is a village in the Municipality of Grad in the Prekmurje region of northeastern Slovenia. There is a small chapel in the settlement dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was built in 1888.

Stanjevci (pronounced [ˈstaːnjɛu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Kerkaszabadhegy, Prekmurje Slovene: Stanjovci) is a village in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. The railway from Murska Sobota to Hodoš runs through the settlement, but there is no station in the village. There is a small chapel north of the main settlement. It was built in 1923 in a Neo-Gothic style.

Boreča (pronounced [bɔˈɾeːtʃa]; Hungarian: Borháza) is a village in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. Unlike the surrounding area, the village is relatively nucleated and surrounded by a pine forest. The local church is built southeast of the village and is a Late Gothic building dating to 1521. It has a relatively high nave with a narrower polygonal sanctuary. In 1739 its interior was refurbished in the Baroque style. It is dedicated to Saint Anne and belongs to the Murska Sobota Diocese. There is a Catholic cemetery next to the church. The Lutheran cemetery lies beyond it. There is also a wooden Lutheran belfry in the village.

Kuštanovci (pronounced [ˈkuːʃtanɔu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Gesztenyés, Prekmurje Slovene: Küštanovci) is a village in the Municipality of Puconci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. There is a small chapel with a belfry by the village cemetery, built in the early 20th century.

Ženavlje (pronounced [ʒɛˈnaːu̯ljɛ]; Hungarian: Gyanafa, Prekmurje Slovene: Ženavle) is a village in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. Ženavlje is known as the unplanned landing site of a stratospheric balloon with the Belgian pioneering balloonist Max Cosyns and his student Nérée van der Elst on 18 August 1934. The 18th of August was declared a municipal holiday and in 1997 a large bronze monument in the shape of a balloon was erected on the spot of the crash landing to commemorate the event.

Šulinci (pronounced [ˈʃuːlintsi]; Hungarian: Sándorvölgy, Prekmurje Slovene: Šülinci) is a village in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. The old village school, built in 1913 and closed in 1962, now functions as a village hall.

Trdkova (pronounced [ˈtəɾtkɔʋa]; Hungarian: Türke) is a village in the Municipality of Kuzma in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia. It lies right on the border between Slovenia, Austria, and Hungary. There is a small chapel-shrine with a belfry in the village. It is dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius.

Poznanovci (pronounced [pɔˈznaːnɔu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Pálhegy) is a dispersed village in the Municipality of Puconci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia.There is a small Lutheran church in the settlement.

Pečarovci (pronounced [pɛˈtʃaːɾɔu̯tsi]; in older sources also Sveti Sebeštjan, Hungarian: Szentsebestyén, Prekmurje Slovene: Püčarovci) is a village in the Municipality of Puconci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia.There are two churches in the settlement. The Roman Catholic parish church is dedicated to Saint Sebastian and was built in 1824. It has a single nave with a polygonal apse and a belfry on its eastern side. It belongs to the Diocese of Murska Sobota. The second church is a Lutheran church built north of the main settlement in the hamlet of Gorenšček.

Neradnovci (pronounced [nɛˈɾaːdnɔu̯tsi]; Hungarian: Nádorfa, Prekmurje Slovene: Maranovci) is a small settlement in the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci in the Prekmurje region of Slovenia, close to the border with Hungary.

The Municipality of Gornji Petrovci (pronounced [ˈɡoːɾnji pɛˈtɾoːu̯tsi]; Slovene: Občina Gornji Petrovci) is a municipality in Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Gornji Petrovci. The municipality was established in its current form on 3 October 1994, when the former larger Municipality of Murska Sobota was subdivided into nine smaller municipalities. The municipality includes 14 villages, represented in the municipal coat of arms by fourteen simplified blue houses. The shield also includes a heraldic otter holding a golden fish. The municipal holiday is 18 August, chosen as the anniversary of the crash landing of a stratospheric balloon with the Belgian pioneering balloonists Max Cosyns and Nérée van der Elst in 1934. The majority of the population of the municipality are Lutherans, making the Municipality of Gornji Petrovci one of the very few Slovenian municipalities with a non-Catholic majority.
