Ampelokipoi or Ampelokipi (Greek: Αμπελόκηποι, pronounced [am.beˈlo.ci.pi]), meaning 'vineyards', is a large, central district of the city of Athens. Ampelokipoi is in the center of Athens, near Zografou, Goudi, Psychiko and Pagkrati. The area is famous for hosting Panathinaikos's home ground since it was inaugurated in 1922. Two metro stations are located in the district: the Ambelokipi station and the Panormou station.

Panormou (Greek: Πανόρμου) is an Athens Metro Line 3 station, located at Panormou Ave., near Ambelokipi, Greece. It is also quite close to Kifissias Ave.

Kountouriotika (Greek: Κουντουριώτικα pronounced [kunduˈɾʝotika]) is a small neighborhood of Athens, Greece, named after the admiral and later President of Greece Pavlos Kountouriotis. It is located within Ampelokipoi.

Athens Towers (Greek: Πύργος Αθηνών), is a complex of two buildings situated in Athens, Greece. Athens Tower 1 is 103 m (338 ft) and 28 storeys high, making it the tallest building in Greece, while Athens Tower 2 has 15 storeys and a height of 65 m (213 ft) being the 8th tallest in Greece.Construction began in 1968 and was completed in 1971 during the dictatorship. At the time of its completion it was the second tallest building in Southeast Europe. It is located in the district of Ampelokipi on 2 Mesogeion Avenue. It is used by many companies such as Interamerican and Alpha Bank. The architect of Athens Tower is Ioannis Vikelas, who also designed the main building of the Goulandris Museum of Cycladic Art. Its architects were Ioannis Vikelas and Ioannis Kympritis. Despite the criticism it has received due to its design and high height, the Tower of Athens is today considered to be one of the landmarks of Athens.

Bate (Ancient Greek: Βατή) was a deme of ancient Attica. The deme housed a large part of the Eteobutadae family, a religious clan claiming descent from the hero Bute and named the priests of Poseidon and the priestess of Athena. Its site is tentatively located at modern Ampelokipoi, Athens, northeast of the Acropolis.

Erythros Stavros (Greek: Ερυθρός Σταυρός, pronounced [eɾiˈθɾos staˈvɾos]), meaning "Red Cross", is a neighborhood of Athens, located between the districts of Ambelokipoi, Ellinoroson and Girokomeio. It was named after the Erythros Stavros Hospital, which is located in the center. It is also considered part of the Ambelokipi neighborhood. Apart from the hospital, this district is home to the Police School and the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. It is serviced by the Line 3 of Athens Metro and a plurality of bus lines.

The Museum of Criminology is a university exhibition space belonging to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens . The museum records the history of crime in Greece during the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum's main target audience is students related to the Faculty of Medicine, in order to obtain information.

The Museum of Anthropology, University of Athens is an educational museum in Athens, Greece. It was founded at the University of Athens in 1886. The museum was initially established as part of the university's medical school, in its department of histology. The museum's founder, Klon Stephanos, has been described as the "father of physical anthropology" in Greece, Under Stephanos, the museum emphasized its function as research laboratory, rather than as a venue for public displays. It received many early contributions from the medical faculty in the area of anatomical pathology, as well as becoming an important repository within Greece for historical anthropological specimens that had in the past been sent to foreign institutions.Stephanos died in 1915, and Ioannis Koumaris became the second director of the museum, a position he held until 1950.

The Red Cross Hospital (Greek: Νοσοκομείο Ερυθρός Σταυρός) or General Prefectural Athens Korgialenio Benakeio Hellenic Red Cross Hospital is a district general hospital in the Erythros Stavros (Red Cross) district of Athens. The design of the building that currently houses the hospital was commissioned in 1923 to the architect Aristeidis Balanos, while its foundation stone was laid on April 7, 1927. The construction was entrusted to a German company and the official opening took place on November 23, 1930. The date of first operation is mentioned as 15 December 1930. Initially the hospital operated with 2 clinics (Pathology and Surgery) and 4 laboratories (Radiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pathology). Its strength reached 185 beds. In the following decades, there were continuous expansions of the hospital, which reached its current form in 1978 with the construction of a 9-story wing. It is worth noting that the administration of the hospital tried during the 90s to further expand its facilities by completing a building that had been unfinished for years at the junction of Mesogeion Avenue and Sofias Schliemann Street. Nevertheless, and by decision of the Town Planning Department, the building in question was deemed unsuitable and was demolished with controlled explosions on May 22, 1994. In its place, the Errikos Dynan Hospital was built 6 years later.

Ambelokipi (Greek: Αμπελόκηποι, Ampelokipoi) is a station on Line 3 of the Athens Metro. Located at Alexandras Ave. and Panormou Ave., it is close not only to Kifissias Ave., but also to some important buildings of Athens, such as the Hellenic Police Headquarters, the Hellenic Supreme Court (Άρειος Πάγος) and the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium of Panathinaikos FC.

The Agia Sofia Children's Hospital is one of the largest pediatric hospitals at the European level and the largest pediatric hospital in Greece. It was founded in 1896 and started operating in 1901. Its hospital beds amount to 750. It is for children up to 16 years of age, but in some special cases it also accepts older children. In 2020, the Agia Sofia Children's Hospital completed renovation of its cardiology unit with 20 beds.

The Attica General Police Directorate (Greek: Γενική Αστυνομική Διεύθυνση Αττικής, commonly used in the abbreviation ΓΑΔΑ, GADA) is an administrative unit of the Hellenic Police. Its headquarters are in Athens. It has been described as Athens' equivalent of Scotland Yard. In 2012, activists protesting against the Golden Dawn party alleged that they were tortured at its headquarters.
