Mission Hills is an upscale affluent neighborhood of San Diego, California, USA. It is located on hills just south of the San Diego River valley and north of downtown San Diego, overlooking Old Town, Downtown San Diego, and San Diego Bay. The area is primarily residential, with boutique shops and restaurants along Washington Blvd. West Lewis St. Shopping District and in other clusters. The oldest parts of the neighborhood were subdivided according to George Marston's 1908 plan, and still consist mainly of houses from the 1908-1930 period, in vernacular, Craftsman, Prairie School, Spanish Colonial Revival and other styles.

This station opened on June 16, 1996 as part of the North/South Line (later renamed the Blue Line) extension to the Old Town Transit Center. The station was closed from May 21 through August 2012 for renovations as part of the Trolley Renewal Project.

Marine Corps Recruit Depot (commonly referred to as MCRD) San Diego is a United States Marine Corps military installation in San Diego, California. It lies between San Diego Bay and Interstate 5, adjacent to San Diego International Airport and the former Naval Training Center San Diego. MCRD San Diego's main mission is the initial training of enlisted male and female recruits living west of the Mississippi River. Over 21,000 recruits are trained each year. As of 2022, 1.5 million recruits have completed their boot camp training at the Depot. The Depot also is the home to the Marine Corps' Recruiter School and Western Recruiting Region's Drill Instructors School.

The MCRD San Diego Command Museum is located in Day Hall, Building 26, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, San Diego, California. It exhibits historical items relating to the United States Marine Corps. The museum opened on November 10, 1987, and was officially designated as a command museum on January 8, 1993.

Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in San Diego, California in San Diego County, is a California Historical Landmark No. 49 listed on March 6, 1935. The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception was built in 1850 as the adobe house of John Brown. The house was converted to a Church building by Don José Aguirre in 1858. From 1866 to 1907 missionary Father Antonio D. Ubach was parish priest at Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. The Works Progress Administration rebuilt the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in 1937.
