Bratrušov (German: Brattersdorf) is a municipality and village in Šumperk District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 600 inhabitants. Bratrušov lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Šumperk, 52 km (32 mi) north-west of Olomouc, and 182 km (113 mi) east of Prague.

Bohdíkov (until 1947 Český Bohdíkov; German: Böhmisch Märzdorf) is a municipality and village in Šumperk District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants. Bohdíkov lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Šumperk, 54 km (34 mi) north-west of Olomouc, and 178 km (111 mi) east of Prague.

The Margraviate of Moravia (Czech: Markrabství moravské; German: Markgrafschaft Mähren) was one of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown within the Holy Roman Empire and then Austria-Hungary, existing from 1182 to 1918. Hanušovice Highlands (Czech: Hanušovická vrchovina, German: Hannsdorfer Bergland) are highlands within the Eastern Sudetes mountain range that runs between Poland and the Czech Republic. It is named after Hanušovice town. The area is 793 km² and its average elevation is 527.2 meters. The highest peak is Jeřáb with 1,003 metres (3,291 ft) above sea level. The highlands mostly consists of crystallized slate and Paleozoic folded sediments with Neogene and Quaternary sediments in lower parts. Isolated rocks often occur on highland peaks.

Háj is an observation tower on the top of Háj hill in Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, about 3 kilometres northwest from Šumperk. Its height is 29 meters and it has one viewing platform. Foot tower altitude is 631 meters above sea level.

Štědrákova Lhota (German: Tschödrich) is the village in Šumperk District in Olomouc Region of Czech Republic. It is named after Šťědrák, the administrator of Ruda nad Moravou manor who provided to new settlers timber for building and the tax exemption for a certain period (lhota in Czech). First note about the village comes from 1397. Štědrákova Lhota occupies 493 hectares along Pstruhovec creek in the steep hillside, the upper end is 700 meters above sea level. The Panorama ski resort in situated in the area. The place is served by one bus line. Number of inhabitants was 69 people in 2001. Area surrounding the village was a rich source of inspiration for painter Karel Homola. Historically, the village was wholly inhabited by Czechs, thus population number was not stroke by expulsion of Germans.

Šumperk District (Czech: okres Šumperk) is a district in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the town of Šumperk.

Hrabenov (German: Rabenau) is a village in Šumperk District, Olomouc Region, the Czech Republic. The settlement is administered by Ruda nad Moravou council. Hrabenov is named after its founder, Hrabiš ze Švábenic a Úsova. The area covers 622 ha and the terrain is hilly with the highest peak Háj (Senová), 631 meters above sea level. Number of inhabitants was 704 people in 2006. The oldest note about the village comes from 1480 referring about its owner, Jiří starší Tunkl who possessed Hrabenov to 1578. From this date, the village was owned by the House of Odkolek z Oujezdce whose property was confiscated for participating in uprising against Habsburg rule in 1622. Confiscated property was assigned to the House of Lichtenstein who held the village to the fall of the fedual system in 1848. Historically, Hrabenov was Czech village with small Sudeten German minority which was expelled in 1945.

Šumperk (Czech pronunciation: [ˈʃumpɛrk] ; German: Mährisch Schönberg) is a town in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 25,000 inhabitants. It is an industrial town, but it also contains valuable historical and architectural monuments. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.
