Mason Lake (King County)

Island Lakes are a set of closely related freshwater lakes located on a prominent valley at the western base of Pratt Mountain, between Mount Defiance and Bandera Mountain, in King County, Washington. They include Island Lake proper, Rainbow Lake and Blazer Lake. They are themselves surrounded by other alpine lakes, including Lake Kulla Kulla and Mason Lake on the west side of the valley. Because of its proximity to Snoqualmie Pass and other prominent peaks in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, the lakes are a popular area for hiking, swimming, and fishing rainbow trout. Access to Island Lakes is through Mount Defiance Trail 1009, which is an offshoot of Pratt Lake Trail 1007. The trail passes between Rainbow Lake and Blazer Lake on the north edge.

Mount Defiance is a 5,584-foot (1,702-metre) mountain summit located in King County of Washington state. It's part of the Cascade Range and is within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Mount Defiance is situated 6.5 mi (10.5 km) west of Snoqualmie Pass on land managed by Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Precipitation runoff on the mountain drains into tributaries of the Snoqualmie River. The nearest higher peak is Granite Mountain, 3.96 mi (6.37 km) to the east-southeast, and Bandera Mountain is 1.85 mi (2.98 km) to the southeast. Mount Defiance can be reached by trail, with access via the Ira Spring, Talapus Lake, or Pratt Lake trailheads.

Bandera Mountain is a mountain located near Snoqualmie Pass, Washington in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The mountain is accessible by the Mason Lake Trail (Ira Springs Memorial Trail), which is located off I-90 at Exit 45 on Forest Road 9031.

Talapus Lake is a freshwater lake located on a prominent valley at the eastern skirt of Bandera Mountain, in King County, Washington. Mount Defiance and Pratt Mountain are a short distance to the west of Talapus Lake. The name Talapus is a Chinook word for coyote.Talapus Lake is surrounded by other alpine lakes, including Olallie Lake and Pratt Lake a short distance north. Because of its proximity to Snoqualmie Pass and other prominent peaks in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, the lake is a popular area for hiking, swimming, and fishing rainbow trout.Access to the lake is from Talapus Lake trail or Pratt Lake trail further east, a short exit from Interstate 90, west of the Snoqualmie Pass.

Pratt Lake, called Ollie Lake in older maps, is a freshwater lake located on a prominent valley at the eastern skirt of Pratt Mountain, in King County, Washington. Pratt Lake got its second name in 1917 from John W. Pratt, a member of the Mountaineers club.Pratt Lake is surrounded by prominent peaks and other alpine lakes, including Olallie Lake and Talapus Lake a short distance south along Pratt Lake trail. Mount Defiance is a short distance to the west of Pratt Lake while Bandera Mountain is south on the north shore of Island Lakes. Access to the lake is from Talapus Lake trail or Pratt Lake trail further east, a short exit from Interstate 90, west of the Snoqualmie Pass.

Olallie Lake is a freshwater lake located on a prominent valley at the western base of Pratt Mountain, between Mount Defiance and Bandera Mountain, in King County, Washington. The name means berry in Chinook Jargon.Olallie Lake is surrounded by other alpine lakes, including Talapus Lake to the south and Pratt Lake a short distance north. Because of its proximity to Snoqualmie Pass and other prominent peaks in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, the lakes are a popular area for hiking, swimming, and fishing rainbow trout.

Granite Mountain is a tall peak in the Cascade Range in King County, Washington 16 miles (26 km) east of North Bend. A fire lookout on the summit can be reached by trail. The fire lookout was first constructed in 1924 and was then rebuilt 31 years later. It is still maintained by volunteers June through September each year.

McClellan Butte is a prominent peak in the Cascade Range in King County, Washington 11 miles east of North Bend. The McClellan Butte hiking trail is a difficult trail known as an alternative to Mount Si's crowded trail.

Dirty Harry's Peak is a mountain in the state of Washington. It is named for Harry Gault, who once logged the mountain. It is located in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Natural Resources Conservation Area, near the Washington State Fire Training Academy. The mountain has an elevation of 4,724 feet (1,440 m) and lies along a ridgeline including Mailbox Peak and Dirtybox Peak (the parent peak of both mountains, and a portmanteau of their names).The hike to the peak includes a popular viewpoint named Dirty Harry's Balcony, elevation 2,613 feet (796 m), with views of surrounding mountains and I-90. Further along the trail is Gault's abandoned truck, known as "Dirty Harry's Museum." The summit can be accessed either through the official trail, or a scramble along the ridgeline including Mailbox and Dirtybox.

Mount Kent is a 5,087-foot (1,551-metre) mountain summit located in east King County of Washington state. It's part of the Cascade Range and is situated on land managed by Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Precipitation runoff on the mountain drains north into Alice Creek, a tributary of the South Fork Snoqualmie River. The nearest higher neighbor is McClellan Butte, 1.16 mi (1.87 km) to the north, and Mount Defiance is set 4 mi (6.4 km) to the northeast across the Interstate 90 corridor.

Humpback Mountain is a 5,174-foot (1,577 m) mountain peak in the Cascade Range, in King County, Washington.

Russian Butte is a double-peak summit located in King County of Washington state. It's located at the western edge of the Cascade Range on land managed by Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Russian Butte is more notable for its large, steep rise above local terrain than for its absolute elevation. The nearest higher officially named peak is Preacher Mountain, 3.29 miles (5.29 km) to the east. Little Comrade is a small peak 0.5 mile to the south-southwest of Russian Butte. Precipitation runoff from Russian Butte drains into tributaries of the Snoqualmie River.
