The Place de Fontenoy (French pronunciation: ​[plas də fɔ̃tənwa]) is a square in Paris, France, named after the victory of Maréchal Maurice de Saxe in the Battle of Fontenoy. At number 7, Place de Fontenoy are the UNESCO Headquarters, the World Heritage Centre.The purpose of this building is currently to serve as a basic headquarters of the UNESCO group.

The Symbolic Globe is a monument, since November 1995 situated on the piazza of UNESCO in Paris, France, surrounded by the flags of all nations, pointing out that this is the headquarters of the international organization. The Symbolic Globe was originally conceived for the United Nations Summit on Social Development, March 1995.[1] During the Summit, it was built in the centre of Copenhagen by the delegates, who had come from every corner of the earth. Transferred to the piazza of UNESCO in Paris, the Symbolic Globe was inaugurated on 7 November 1995 by Federico Mayor.

Between 1958 and the outbreak of the Libyan civil war in 2011, there were twelve ambassadors appointed by the Libyan government to serve in France. Subsequent postholders have represented the National Transitional Council.

Ségur (French pronunciation: ​[seɡyʁ]) is a station on Line 10 of the Paris Métro. It is located on the border of the 7th arrondissement and 15th arrondissement.

The European Space Agency (ESA; French: Agence spatiale européenne pronunciation , ASE; German: Europäische Weltraumorganisation) is an intergovernmental organisation of 22 member states dedicated to the exploration of space. Established in 1975 and headquartered in Paris, ESA has a worldwide staff of about 2,200 in 2018 and an annual budget of about €7.2 billion in 2022.ESA's space flight programme includes human spaceflight (mainly through participation in the International Space Station program); the launch and operation of unmanned exploration missions to other planets and the Moon; Earth observation, science and telecommunication; designing launch vehicles; and maintaining a major spaceport, the Guiana Space Centre at Kourou, French Guiana. The main European launch vehicle Ariane 5 is operated through Arianespace with ESA sharing in the costs of launching and further developing this launch vehicle. The agency is also working with NASA to manufacture the Orion spacecraft service module that will fly on the Space Launch System.

The International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT) is the UNESCO advisory body on all matters concerned with film, television and new media. Located at UNESCO HQ's in Paris, France, was founded in UNESCO's 10th session of General Conference in 1958.

Cambronne (French pronunciation: ​[kɑ̃bʁɔn]) is an elevated station on Line 6 of the Paris Métro. Located in the 15th arrondissement, it serves Place Cambronne, after which it is named.

The École militaire (French: [ekɔl militɛːʁ]; "military school") is a complex of buildings in Paris, France, which house various military training facilities. It was founded in 1750 by King Louis XV and is located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, southeast of the Champ de Mars. The building, constructed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, is an active military academy and is classified as a national monument since 1990. This site can be visited during the European Heritage Days.

The International Council of Museums (ICOM) is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to museums, maintaining formal relations with UNESCO and having a consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Founded in 1946, ICOM also partners with entities such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, Interpol, and the World Customs Organization in order to carry out its international public service missions, which include fighting illicit traffic in cultural goods and promoting risk management and emergency preparedness to protect world cultural heritage in the event of natural or man-made disasters. Members of the ICOM get the ICOM membership card, which provides free entry, or entry at a reduced rate, to many museums all over the world.

Founded 1975, the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is an international alliance working to promote eye health. It has over 150 members, mainly NGOs and civil society, corporate organisations, professional bodies and research institutions who are working in the prevention of blindness. This agency is a partner of World Health Organization.

The Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) (Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence) is a French public academic institution for research, education and promotion of expertise and sensitization towards defence matters, founded in 1936 by Admiral Raoul Castex. Originally it was the Collège des hautes études de défense nationale and was renamed an institute in 1948. To the original national training sessions were added sessions in the regions (1954), international sessions (1980), economic intelligence cycles (1995), and other targeted seminars. In 1997 the Institute became a public administrative establishment placed under the authority of the Prime Minister. In 2010 it merged with the DGA's (Direction générale de l'armement) Centre des hautes études de l’armement (Centre for Higher Armament Studies (CHEAr)). The Institute is located in the École Militaire. The vocation of the Institute is to train high-level military, government officials and high-ranking executives in defence matters. Some sessions are reserved for young auditors, generally students in the foremost grandes écoles, and under the age of 30. In 2010, the deputy director of the defense college was Robert Ranquet.
