The Hollenden Hotel was a luxury hotel in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It opened in 1885, was significantly upgraded in 1926 and demolished in 1962. During the hotel's existence, it contained 1,000 rooms, 100 private baths, a lavish interior, electric lights and fireproof construction. As Cleveland's most glamorous hotel of the time, it hosted industrialists, celebrities and politicians, including five U.S. Presidents. The Fifth Third Center skyscraper currently occupies the hotel's former location.

The Superior Building, originally known as the Cleveland Discount Building, is a high-rise building in Cleveland, Ohio. The building rises 265 feet (81 m) in Downtown Cleveland. It contains 22 floors, and was completed in 1922. The Superior Building currently stands as the 28th-tallest building in the city. The architectural firm who designed the building was Walker & Weeks. The building's design incorporates a set of Doric columns in its base.The Superior Building was one of the earliest skyscrapers to be completed in Cleveland. However, it never stood as the tallest structure in the city; the Keith Building, also completed in 1922, rose only 7 feet (2.1 m) taller, and thus captured the title of tallest building in Cleveland. The Superior Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Fifth Third Center is a skyscraper located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio along Superior Avenue. The building has 27 stories and rises to a height of 446 ft (136 m) with 515,000 square feet (47,800 m2). It is currently the sixth tallest building in Cleveland. It was designed by RTKL Associates and was originally constructed as Bank One Center in 1991. It was renamed in 2003, when Fifth Third Bank of Cincinnati relocated to the structure.

The Leader Building is a 15-story high-rise building located at the southwest corner of Superior Avenue and East 6th Street in Downtown Cleveland's Historic Gateway District. Completed in 1913, the 199-foot (61 m), 322,600-square-foot (29,970 m2) building was built by industrialist Dan Hanna to house The Cleveland Leader, a Cleveland newspaper he had recently acquired.The limestone-clad building was designed by architect Charles Adams Platt in the Beaux-Arts style, and features high-quality interior materials. The Leader Building was also home to the Cleveland News, which Hanna also owned. While The Cleveland Leader closed in 1917, the News continued to occupy a portion of the Leader Building until 1926. Its upper stories were rented out as office space, and were popular among lawyers. For 60 years, the building's basement was home to the Colonnade Cafeteria.In 2014, the K & D Group acquired the building for $5.4 million. At the time of the purchase, the Leader Building was operated as office space, and had a 60% occupancy rate. The K & D Group announced plans for a mixed-use renovation, and said they would convert a portion of the building to apartments. When the renovations were completed in 2017, the company had converted the top 12 floors to apartments they named the Residences at the Leader. The ground floor remained as retail space and the second and third floors remained as offices.

AmTrust Financial Building, formerly known as McDonald Investment Center, Key Center and the Central National Bank Building, is a commercial high-rise building in Cleveland, Ohio. The building rises 308 feet (94 m) in Downtown Cleveland. It contains 23 floors, and was completed in 1969. The building currently stands as the 18th-tallest building in the city. When first constructed, the tower stood as the 5th-tallest building in Cleveland. The architect who designed the building was Charles Luckman.

Cleveland Public Library, located in Cleveland, Ohio, operates the Main Library on Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland, 27 branches throughout the city, a mobile library, a Public Administration Library in City Hall, and the Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled. The library replaced the State Library of Ohio as the location for the Ohio Center for the Book in 2003.

The Louis Stokes Wing is a 1998-erected 163 foot 10-story high-rise addition to the main branch of the 15th largest public library in the country, Cleveland Public Library located in the Civic Center district of downtown Cleveland. So as not to detract from the original Group Plan Main Branch Library building, the Wing was designed to appear as if it were the reincarnation of what the library building would look like if it emerged as a modern updated structure from the classic age of architecture. The Stokes houses the special book storage collections, the audio visual archives (videos, DVDs, CDs, etc.), the children's collections, the circulation desk, and much more for the library system. The building is named after the former US Congressman who served in Ohio's 11th congressional district from 1968-1998.

The IMG Center is a modernist styled 1965-built 180 foot 16 story high-rise in downtown Cleveland's Nine-Twelve District. It sits at the prominent Cleveland intersection of East Ninth and St. Clair. The building is named after the 1960 Cleveland founded firm International Management Group or IMG. There is a "nub" on top of the building that can be seen in all directions that bears the IMG logo. The distinctive look of the building is due its use of glass in its corners in lieu of solid corner supports. At the time of its construction the building cost $7 Million dollars and was considered a fine example of modernist skyscraper construction.

The Beacon is a luxury, residential skyscraper in downtown Cleveland that began construction at 515 Euclid Avenue in late 2017 and was completed in late 2019. The tower rises 350 feet (110 m) tall, with approval from the city council to exceed the city's 250 feet (76 m) limit. The Beacon sits at 29 floors; 8 floors of parking garage, 19 floors of one and two bedroom residential suites and rooftop lounge.Part of the need for the tower is due to the two decade old resurgence of interest in downtown Cleveland. Residential population has up ticked, spearheaded by a 77% increase of new housing units and 95% occupancy rate from 2000 to 2015. This surge in residential growth has seen nearly 15,000 people living in the Cleveland neighborhood as of 2017. That makes downtown Cleveland the largest populated downtown in Ohio (far ahead of Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron) which illustrates the need for more housing capacity in the central location of Cleveland. It is the third-tallest residential building in the city behind the Terminal Tower, which is slated to be converted into apartments, and The 9 Cleveland.

The Arcade in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, is a Victorian-era structure of two nine-story buildings, joined by a five-story arcade with a glass skylight spanning over 300 feet (91 m), along the four balconies. Erected in 1890, at a cost of $867,000 ($26,100,000 in 2021 dollars), the Arcade opened on Memorial Day (May 30, 1890), and is identified as one of the earliest indoor shopping arcades in the United States. The Arcade was modified in 1939, remodeling the Euclid Avenue entrance and adding some structural support. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975.

The Westin Hotel Cleveland is a modernist 1975-opened 222 foot, 22 story, 484 room Westin high-rise hotel in downtown Cleveland in the city's Civic Center district. The tower rooms sit on top of a multi-story built-in parking garage. The hotel sits along St. Clair Avenue and features rainbow lighting running length wise along its multilevel parking deck at night. This is the only Westin high-end hotel in Cleveland, the other two in the state being in Cincinnati and Columbus.Originally, in the 1990s there was to be a Westin Hotel built in Cleveland in The Flats and was to have 416 rooms; however this project never materialized. The Westin here then completes plans to have a Westin present in the central city since at least the late 1980s.

The Garfield Building is a high-rise building on the corner of Euclid Avenue and E. 6th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. It was the first steel frame skyscraper constructed in the city.
