Cleveland Arcade

The Beacon is a luxury, residential skyscraper in downtown Cleveland that began construction at 515 Euclid Avenue in late 2017 and was completed in late 2019. The tower rises 350 feet (110 m) tall, with approval from the city council to exceed the city's 250 feet (76 m) limit. The Beacon sits at 29 floors; 8 floors of parking garage, 19 floors of one and two bedroom residential suites and rooftop lounge.Part of the need for the tower is due to the two decade old resurgence of interest in downtown Cleveland. Residential population has up ticked, spearheaded by a 77% increase of new housing units and 95% occupancy rate from 2000 to 2015. This surge in residential growth has seen nearly 15,000 people living in the Cleveland neighborhood as of 2017. That makes downtown Cleveland the largest populated downtown in Ohio (far ahead of Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron) which illustrates the need for more housing capacity in the central location of Cleveland. It is the third-tallest residential building in the city behind the Terminal Tower, which is slated to be converted into apartments, and The 9 Cleveland.

The Leader Building is a 15-story high-rise building located at the southwest corner of Superior Avenue and East 6th Street in Downtown Cleveland's Historic Gateway District. Completed in 1913, the 199-foot (61 m), 322,600-square-foot (29,970 m2) building was built by industrialist Dan Hanna to house The Cleveland Leader, a Cleveland newspaper he had recently acquired.The limestone-clad building was designed by architect Charles Adams Platt in the Beaux-Arts style, and features high-quality interior materials. The Leader Building was also home to the Cleveland News, which Hanna also owned. While The Cleveland Leader closed in 1917, the News continued to occupy a portion of the Leader Building until 1926. Its upper stories were rented out as office space, and were popular among lawyers. For 60 years, the building's basement was home to the Colonnade Cafeteria.In 2014, the K & D Group acquired the building for $5.4 million. At the time of the purchase, the Leader Building was operated as office space, and had a 60% occupancy rate. The K & D Group announced plans for a mixed-use renovation, and said they would convert a portion of the building to apartments. When the renovations were completed in 2017, the company had converted the top 12 floors to apartments they named the Residences at the Leader. The ground floor remained as retail space and the second and third floors remained as offices.

The Garfield Building is a high-rise building on the corner of Euclid Avenue and E. 6th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. It was the first steel frame skyscraper constructed in the city.

East 4th Street is a major downtown district in Cleveland, Ohio, known for its food, entertainment, and lack of car traffic. The street runs south from Euclid Avenue to Prospect Avenue. Once a very run down street, the area has been renovated and revitalized by the establishment of numerous restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and apartments, turning it into one of the main nightlife hotspots in the city.

Downtown Cleveland is the central business district of Cleveland, Ohio. The economic and symbolic center of the city and the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Combined Statistical Area, it is Cleveland's oldest district, with its Public Square laid out by city founder General Moses Cleaveland in 1796. Downtown's diverse architecture includes the Cleveland Mall, one of the most complete examples of City Beautiful design in the United States.Downtown is bounded by Lake Erie to the north, the Cuyahoga Valley to the west, and Interstate 90 to the south and east. Its residential population has grown significantly since the 1990s, registering the largest population growth, by percentage, of any Cleveland neighborhood over that time. In 2013, Forbes included Downtown Cleveland in a list of 15 U.S. cities with emerging downtowns. According to Crain's Cleveland Business, its population was estimated to be 20,000 by the end of 2020, making it one of the most populous downtown districts of cities of its size. According to the 2020 U.S. Census data, there are 7,244 occupied units in downtown out of a total 9,569 units, which is a 75.7% occupancy rate and despite Crain’s optimistic numbers, the 2020 census also reports 13,338 people living in the downtown area.

200 Public Square is a skyscraper in Cleveland, Ohio. The building, located on Public Square in Downtown Cleveland, reaches 45 stories and 658 feet (201 m) with 1.2 million square feet (110,000 m2) of office space. It is the third-tallest building in Cleveland and fourth-tallest in the state of Ohio. The building opened in 1985 as the headquarters for Standard Oil of Ohio or Sohio, and was known as the Sohio Building or Standard Oil building. After British Petroleum (BP) rebranded Sohio as BP in the early 1990s, the building was often called the BP America Building, BP America Tower, BP Tower, or BP Building, and those earlier names are still regularly used even after BP moved its North American headquarters to Chicago in 1998. It was officially renamed 200 Public Square in 2005 and since 2010, has been Cleveland's regional headquarters for Huntington Bancshares.

Fifth Third Center is a skyscraper located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio along Superior Avenue. The building has 27 stories and rises to a height of 446 ft (136 m) with 515,000 square feet (47,800 m2). It is currently the sixth tallest building in Cleveland. It was designed by RTKL Associates and was originally constructed as Bank One Center in 1991. It was renamed in 2003, when Fifth Third Bank of Cincinnati relocated to the structure.

The Guardian Bank Building (originally known as the New England Building and later known as the National City Bank Building) is a high-rise building on Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

The Hollenden Hotel was a luxury hotel in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It opened in 1885, was significantly upgraded in 1926 and demolished in 1962. During the hotel's existence, it contained 1,000 rooms, 100 private baths, a lavish interior, electric lights and fireproof construction. As Cleveland's most glamorous hotel of the time, it hosted industrialists, celebrities and politicians, including five U.S. Presidents. The Fifth Third Center skyscraper currently occupies the hotel's former location.

Cleveland Public Library, located in Cleveland, Ohio, operates the Main Library on Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland, 27 branches throughout the city, a mobile library, a Public Administration Library in City Hall, and the Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled. The library replaced the State Library of Ohio as the location for the Ohio Center for the Book in 2003.

The Louis Stokes Wing is a 1998-erected 163 foot 10-story high-rise addition to the main branch of the 15th largest public library in the country, Cleveland Public Library located in the Civic Center district of downtown Cleveland. So as not to detract from the original Group Plan Main Branch Library building, the Wing was designed to appear as if it were the reincarnation of what the library building would look like if it emerged as a modern updated structure from the classic age of architecture. The Stokes houses the special book storage collections, the audio visual archives (videos, DVDs, CDs, etc.), the children's collections, the circulation desk, and much more for the library system. The building is named after the former US Congressman who served in Ohio's 11th congressional district from 1968-1998.

The William Taylor & Son Company building is a 146-foot 9 story 1915-opened high rise apartment building in downtown Cleveland's Gateway District that had a long and fruitful former life as a major Cleveland department store. The building was originally only five floors, but when the company outgrew that floor plan, four more floors were added in 1913. The architect on the building was J. Milton Dyer who was also responsible for the Cleveland City Hall and CAC Building.
