Baltimore Hundred

Pepper Creek is a stream approximately 8 mi (13 km) long in southern Delaware in the United States. It rises in Cypress Swamp in southern Sussex County, approximately 3 mi (5 km) north of the Maryland state line. It flows generally east-northeast, past Dagsboro and into Indian River Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 2 mi (3 km) northwest of Millville. The upper course of the creek is connected by channelized ditches through Cypress Swamp to the headwaters of the Pocomoke River.

Omar is an unincorporated community in Sussex County, Delaware, United States, located at the crossroads of Delaware Route 20 (Armory Road/Pyle Center Road) and Sussex County Road 54 (Omar Road) and between the towns of Dagsboro and Roxana.Omar was a post village.The Baltimore Mills Historic Archaeological Site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Indian River High School is a part of the Indian River School District, located in Dagsboro, Delaware, in southern Sussex County. Indian River High School is one of two high schools in the district, along with Sussex Central High School in Georgetown.

Prince George's Chapel is a historic Episcopal chapel of ease located near Dagsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1755 as a chapel-of-ease for St. Martin's Church, Worcester Parish, Maryland. Churches built to serve the outlying areas of a parish where it was difficult for people to travel to the main church were given a chapel-of-ease designation. On June 30, 1757, the completed chapel was received by the vestry, dedicated, and named "Prince George's Chapel" for England's Prince George, later George III of the United Kingdom. It is a small, shingled structure. A transept and chancel were added about 1763, but these have been removed. The interior features a vaulted ceiling of heart-pine, timbered pine pillars. The State of Delaware purchased the property in 1967 and renovated the building.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Blackwater Presbyterian Church was a historic Presbyterian church building located near Clarksville, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1767 and rebuilt in 1893. It was a small, frame chapel sheathed in clapboard and measuring 35 feet by 30 feet. It featured a portico supported by a Victorian style bracket. It was the oldest Presbyterian church building in Southern Delaware. The congregation was abolished in October 1921.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. In the 1970s the church was restored by the Colonel Armwell Long Chapter the Daughters of the American Revolution. In May 2018 the church, which was structurally unsound, was demolished. According to official state sources: Many of the early settlers of this region, then a part of Maryland, were Presbyterians who had been denied their freedom of worship. For many years local Presbyterians were forced to travel a great distance to the nearest church. In 1763, a congregation was organized in this area by Reverend Charles Tennent, the charismatic son of William Tennent, founder of Princeton University. Services were held in the homes of members until 1767 when the present Blackwater Presbyterian Church was constructed. Over time the travel conditions faced by many members resulted in the formation of separate churches in the growing communities of Ocean View and Frankford. By the late 19th century regular services at Blackwater had been discontinued. Occasional meetings were held until 1921, when the church organization was formally abolished. Since 1949 the property has been managed by a Trust established by the Tunnell family, who have been active supporters of the church since its founding.

Isaac Harmon Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, four-bay, single pile, wood frame dwelling clad in clapboard. It has a gable roof pierced by interior end brick chimneys. It was one of the first properties in the Indian River community to be owned by an Indian family. Isaac Harmon was one of the leaders in the Nanticoke separatist movement of the 1880s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Dagsboro is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. The population was 805 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Oak Orchard is an unincorporated community east of the town of Millsboro in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Oak Orchard is bordered to the south by the Indian River Bay, to the east by Emily Gut (a narrow channel of water) and "the Peninsula", and to the north by Delaware Route 24. Oak Orchard is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. This area has been the home of the Nanticoke Indian Tribe for over 2000 years and is home to the Nanticoke Indian Museum as well as a yearly Pow-wow held by the tribe. The unincorporated community is home to the Oak Orchard/Riverdale Post of the American Legion. Fire protection is provided by the Indian River Vol. Fire Co., ambulance service by the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, and police services are provided by the Delaware State Police as there is no incorporated town to provide such services. Oak Orchard was the scene of a house fire on January 3, 2001, that killed 11 family members.

Capt. Ebe Chandler House is a historic home located at Frankford, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1880, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, six-bay, double-pile frame dwelling in the Victorian Gothic style. It has a gable roof with two massive cross gables and lancet windows. Elaborate Carpenter Gothic and eclectic detailing were added in 1918. The front porch features corner gazebos, located at each of the front corners of the porch. It has been converted to two duplex apartments. Capt. Ebe Chandler purchased the house in 1918, and was a local politician, civic leader, and a spiritualist medium.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Indian Mission School, also known as the Nanticoke Indian Center, is a historic school building located in Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in about 1948, after the original school was destroyed by fire. It is a one-story, stuccoed masonry building with a gable roof. It features a concrete block covered entrance. The school was organized after school reforms of the early 20th century mandated that the children of the strongly Native American families of the Nanticoke be placed in the same schools as African-American students.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Frankford is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. The population was 847 at the 2010 census, an increase of 18.6% over the previous decade. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Harmony Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1891, and is a one-story, wood-frame building covered with asbestos siding and in the Late Gothic Revival style. It has a two-story wing and sits on a rock-faced, concrete block foundation. It features a two-story crenellated tower. The congregation was organized in 1818. The Indian Mission Church was formed from Harmony Church after the hiring of an African American minister.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
