Indian Mission School

Ames Hitchens Chicken Farm was a historic home and farm located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It included a two-story, wood frame, gable front dwelling and two long, one-story, flatroofed buildings, used as chicken houses. It was the last of these structures still standing within the Indian River Nanticoke community.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is listed on the Delaware Cultural and Historic Resources GIS system as destroyed or demolished.

Harmony Church is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1891, and is a one-story, wood-frame building covered with asbestos siding and in the Late Gothic Revival style. It has a two-story wing and sits on a rock-faced, concrete block foundation. It features a two-story crenellated tower. The congregation was organized in 1818. The Indian Mission Church was formed from Harmony Church after the hiring of an African American minister.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Robert Davis Farmhouse was a historic farmhouse located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built about 1900, as a two-story, five-bay, single pile, wood-frame building with asbestos siding. It had a gable roof, with a cross gable and lancet window. Also on the property were two contributing log corn cribs.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is listed on the Delaware Cultural and Historic Resources GIS system as destroyed or demolished.

Harmon School, also known as Warwick No. 225, is a historic rural school building located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in the early 1920s, and is a one-story, frame structure with wood shingles in the Colonial Revival style. It sits on a concrete foundation and has a gable roof and large, square brick central chimney. The front facade features a central pedimented portico with four square columns and two square pilasters. The Harmon School was originally formed to be used exclusively for Nanticoke Indian students until after the new school was constructed in the 1920s. The introduction of African American teachers and students caused the Indian students to withdraw and form the Indian Mission School.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Isaac Harmon Farmhouse is a historic farmhouse located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, four-bay, single pile, wood frame dwelling clad in clapboard. It has a gable roof pierced by interior end brick chimneys. It was one of the first properties in the Indian River community to be owned by an Indian family. Isaac Harmon was one of the leaders in the Nanticoke separatist movement of the 1880s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Johnson School, also known as Warwick No. 203, is a historic rural school building located near Millsboro, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in the early 1920s, and is a one-story, three-bay, frame structure with wood shingles in the Colonial Revival style. It has a gable roof and features a pedimented entrance portico supported by Doric order columns and plain pilasters. The Johnson School was a separate educational facility for African Americans, and was attended by some children whose families claimed Indian descent.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Warwick is an unincorporated community in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Warwick is located on Delaware Route 24, east of Millsboro and north of the Indian River.

Oak Orchard is an unincorporated community east of the town of Millsboro in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Oak Orchard is bordered to the south by the Indian River Bay, to the east by Emily Gut (a narrow channel of water) and "the Peninsula", and to the north by Delaware Route 24. Oak Orchard is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. This area has been the home of the Nanticoke Indian Tribe for over 2000 years and is home to the Nanticoke Indian Museum as well as a yearly Pow-wow held by the tribe. The unincorporated community is home to the Oak Orchard/Riverdale Post of the American Legion. Fire protection is provided by the Indian River Vol. Fire Co., ambulance service by the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, and police services are provided by the Delaware State Police as there is no incorporated town to provide such services. Oak Orchard was the scene of a house fire on January 3, 2001, that killed 11 family members.

Baywood Greens is a public golf club located in Long Neck, Delaware that is consistently rated as one of the very best in the state.The front nine holes are nicknamed the "Woods Nine", while the back nine holes carry the "Water Nine" nickname. A third 9-hole grouping is planned on the north side of Delaware Route 24, which is supposed to be the "Sand Nine". The course is noted for having over 200,000 flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees that decorate the playing area. With the future construction of a large hotel, the owners hope to vie for PGA tournament status. A medium-sized community of upscale modular homes surrounds the golf course.

Pepper Creek is a stream approximately 8 mi (13 km) long in southern Delaware in the United States. It rises in Cypress Swamp in southern Sussex County, approximately 3 mi (5 km) north of the Maryland state line. It flows generally east-northeast, past Dagsboro and into Indian River Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 2 mi (3 km) northwest of Millville. The upper course of the creek is connected by channelized ditches through Cypress Swamp to the headwaters of the Pocomoke River.

Baltimore Hundred is a hundred in the southeastern section of Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Baltimore Hundred was formed in 1775 from Worcester County, Maryland. Its primary community is Millville. The old colonial term "hundred" is used to describe a sectioned area of the county in which 100 farms should fit. The Hundred was home to 3 villages, Selbyville, Roxanna and Ocean View.
