Shenipsit State Forest

Crystal Lake is a village, census-designated place, and part of the town of Ellington, in Tolland County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,945 at the 2010 census. The CDP includes an eponymous lake.

The Somers Historic District encompasses the historic civic and social center of the town of Somers, Connecticut. It stretches along Main Street, with extensions along Springfield Road and Battle Street, and includes a significant number of vernacular Federal and Greek Revival houses. The project is owned by Dominion Energy, and Prime Solutions was the contractor and technology provider. The project was constructed on 50 acres (20 ha) of former pasture land. The project provides enough energy to power 5,000 homes annually.

Bordering Massachusetts, Somers is considered part of the city of Springfield, Massachusetts NECTA. Somers is 13 miles (21 km) southeast of Springfield and considered more oriented toward it than the city of Hartford, which lies 22 miles (35 km) to the southwest.

Stafford Motor Speedway is a semi-banked half-mile mile paved oval located in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Stafford Speedway holds weekly racing every Friday night May through September. This track is known as the home of the SK Modifieds and drivers such as Ryan Preece and Ted Christopher. The track hosts weekly events throughout the season previously including 3 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events yearly. Stafford Motor Speedway is the track that had hosted the second most ever races in the modern era of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour with 131 races from 1985 to 2019. The speedway also had hosted 5 NASCAR North Tour events from 1979 until 1985 and 30 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races, between 1987 and 2016. Stafford Motor Speedway was the site of the first ever Superstar Racing Experience event on June 12, 2021. The main event was won by track regular Doug Coby. In December 2020, the track announced that it would end its 60-year affiliation with NASCAR, "due to a conflict regarding ownership of streaming and broadcast rights of weekly racing events". Stafford began live streaming on FloRacing in 2021.

The community consists of the downtown area of Stafford Springs and the more rural villages of Crystal Lake, Ellithorpe, Hydeville, Orcuttsville, Staffordville, Stafford Hollow, Village Hill, and West Stafford. The town most likely derives its name from Staffordshire, in England.

Somers High School is a public high school in the town of Somers, Connecticut, United States. It offers advanced placement courses in collaboration with the University of Connecticut. It participates in the Somers-based Four Town Fair with student-run booths and a senior parade float. Available sports include soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, track and field, baseball, softball, basketball, golf, and wrestling.

Nye-Holman State Forest is a Connecticut state forest located in the town of Tolland. The Willimantic River flows through the forest.

Stafford High School is a public high school in Stafford, Connecticut. It serves grades 9-12 and offers a wide variety of programs. It competes athletically as the Bulldogs in many different sports.

Peaked Mountain (pronounced pea-kid) is a nature reserve located in Monson, Massachusetts. The property is approximately 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) and is owned by The Trustees of Reservations, a non-profit conservation organization. The principal landowners of its western slope, Leonard and Roslyn Harrington and Richard Elliott, have long permitted the public to hike through their properties to the summit. Concerned about the mountain's future, they sought the assistance of The Trustees of Reservations in developing a long-term strategy for protecting the mountain and securing public access after their lifetimes.

The Holt Memorial Fountain is a fountain located in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. The fountain was built in 1894 in memorial of Charles Holt, the owner of the Phoenix Woolen Co, a local mill. The fountain causes a roundabout to form with Route 32 and Route 190 intersecting. The fountain water system had been broken due to a truck crash some time before 1996. The fountain was proposed to be moved in 1990 to help traffic, but it was greatly opposed by the town. The former railroad station is located less than 100 feet away.
