Walayar Dam is a dam in Palakkad district of Kerala, India. This dam is constructed across the Walayar River, which is a tributary of Kalpathipuzha River. It was completed and opened in 1964. It is one of the major sources of irrigation in the region. Most of the water in this river is passed to the inner places of Walayar. The dam holds a larger reservoir area, and the persons living near the reservoir area utilizes the water from the walayar dam as their main water source for irrigation. Currently the water held inside the reservoir is less due to lesser rain at Walayar. The reservoir area is very scenic and has better scope for tourism.

Sree Narayana Guru College, Chelannur is one of the institutions of higher learning run by SN Trusts, Kollam. The college is situated at the foot of the Kalari Hills, about 14 kilometers northeast of Kozhikode (Calicut). The college has a campus of about 67 acres (27 ha) from the side of Kozhikode - Balussery Road. The foundation stone of the college was laid in February 1968 by the late Dr. T. Balakrishnan. The college was founded in the name of Sree Narayana Guru. Classes began in June 1968. In 1975, the college was elevated to the status of a degree college with undergraduate courses in botany and commerce. It became a venue for post-graduate studies with the commencement of MCom in 1995 and MA English in 1999. In March 2007, the college was accredited by the NAAC at the level of B+ grade. The college, affiliated to University of Calicut, imparts instruction to nearly one thousand students in different branches of arts, science and commerce at the undergraduate and post-graduate level.

Dharmalinga Malai is a Shiva temple on top of a hill near Coimbatore, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Lord Dharmalingeswaraswamy, the temple deity, is a Swayambumurthi (self-manifested). The temple is located 13 km south of Coimbatore city. The temple is situated in Marappalam, Madukkarai in Coimbatore District. There are nearly 800 steps to reach the top of the temple.
