Kenswick, Worcestershire

Wichenford is a village and civil parish (with Kenswick) in the Malvern Hills District in the county of Worcestershire, England. It lies 7 miles (11km) to the north-west of the city of Worcester and has a population of c 400 for around 250 households. Primary education is provided at nearby Hallow, and at Martley, which also has a secondary school.

Cotheridge is a village and civil parish in the district of Malvern Hills in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is 4 miles (6 km) west of the city of Worcester and a mile north-east of the Leigh Court railway station on the Great Western Railway on the opposite side of the River Teme. The River Teme flows on the southern and south-western part of the village where the land is low-lying and is susceptible to flooding. The soil content is loam and clay with the subsoil being Keuper Marl. The village is small with most of its residents being widespread. It is noted for its 12th century St. Leonard's Church and manor house. There have been many variations of the name over the centuries including Coddanhrycce (10th century); Codderycce, Koderie, and Codrie (11th century); Kodere, Coddarycge (12th century); Codrigg, Coderigge, Codrugge (13th century); Coterugge (14th century); Coderych, Coderiche (15/16th centuries); Cotheridge, Cowtrige, Cowderidge (17th century).

Upper Broadheath is an area in the village of Lower Broadheath. It is not a separate village. Worcestershire, England. It is in the Malvern Hills District and the civil parish of Lower Broadheath.

St. Leonard's Church is a small, 12th-century church located in the scattered village of Cotheridge in Worcestershire. It stands not far from the manor house, Cotheridge Court. The church boasts an ancient, wooden tower. The main part of the church, the nave, has a plastered ceiling with its beams remaining hidden though some ceiling beams in the chancel are visible. The chancel floor is partially tiled. The church belongs to the Diocese of Worcester with its denomination being Church of England, and small services are still held. It lies upon the pilgrimage route to Wales from Worcester, and is today a visitors centre.

Cotheridge Court is a Grade II* listed ancient manor house situated in the south-western part of Cotheridge, in the county of Worcestershire, England, and birthplace of Herbert Bowyer Berkeley. The house bought in 1615 by William Berkeley, eldest son of Rowland Berkeley (1548-1611) of Spetchley, was owned and lived in by the Berkeley family for nearly 350 years, but the manor is over one thousand years old. This family descended from the Berkeleys of Berkeley Castle Gloucestershire, and Eadnoth. Cotheridge Court is now a private residence of sub-divided flats.

The Firs: Birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar in Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire, England is a museum dedicated to the English composer Edward Elgar. On 1 September 2017 the museum reopened under National Trust stewardship. Elgar was born here on 2 June 1857, and lived here until his family moved to Worcester two years later. The museum comprises the Birthplace Cottage and its garden, and the modern Elgar Centre, opened in 2000, which houses further exhibitions and a function room. The Museum displays give an insight into Elgar the man and social history as well as an opportunity to see original music manuscripts. In addition to autograph music manuscripts, the Museum collection includes around 11,000 letters from and to Elgar, his friends and family; proofs, programmes and other items connected with Elgar's music; family photographs and scrapbooks; items connected with his travels and with his hobbies including golf and cycling; personal possessions, awards and honours, and film of his later years. The cottage was established as a museum in 1934, on Elgar's death, by his daughter Carice Elgar Blake.For the five years 2017–2021 the museum will be administered by the National Trust on behalf of The Elgar Foundation. It greatly values the support it receives from generous donors and its friends including the Elgar Society. It has Accredited Museum status from the Arts Council England.

Lower Broadheath is a village and civil parish in the Malvern Hills district of Worcestershire, England. According to the 2011 census it had a population of 1,728. The parish also includes Upper Broadheath. The village is about 3 miles north-west of Worcester. There are many housing estates in the village, including the Jacomb estate (Jacomb Road, Jacomb Drive, Jacomb Close and Rectory Close). The village has a village hall, church, post office and shop, a village green (containing a football pitch, running track and many children's play areas) and a large village common. There is also a primary school (Broadheath C.E. Primary School). The school contains around 150 children, from the age of four up to eleven. There are also two pubs in the village.

Leigh Court railway station was a station in Leigh, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened on 2 May 1874 and closed on 7 September 1964.

Leigh Court Barn is a cruck framed barn at Leigh, Worcestershire, England, built in the early fourteenth century to store produce for Pershore Abbey. It is the largest and one of the oldest cruck barns in Britain, measuring over 43 metres (141 ft) long, 11 metres (36 ft) wide and 9 metres (29 ft) high, supported by nine pairs of massive oak beams. Radiocarbon dating places its construction about 1325.

Leigh is a village and civil parish (with a parish council shared with Bransford) in the Malvern Hills district of the county of Worcestershire, England. With just a few hundred inhabitants the parish lies on the A4103, the main Worcester to Hereford road, about 5 miles out of Worcester, whilst Malvern is also about 5 miles away. The parish includes Leigh, Brockamin, Leigh Sinton, Sandlin & Smith End Green. The local pronunciation is that the name rhymes with "lie". Due largely to the significant reduction of the hop industry in the area,Leigh, like many local villages, declined in the late 20th century; it lost its pub, its police station and its railway station (with the closure of the Bromyard branch line in the 1960s).
