The Romanian Plain (Romanian: Câmpia Română) is located in southern Romania and the easternmost tip of Serbia, where it is known as the Wallachian Plain (Serbian: Vlaška nizija/Влашка низија). It is part of the larger Eurasian Steppe. It is located in the historical region of Wallachia, and bordered by the Danube River in the east, south and west, and by the Getic Plateau in the north. Bucharest, the capital of Romania, is located in the central part of the Romanian Plain. It is contiguous to the south with the Danubian Plain (Bulgarian: Дунавска равнина), in Bulgaria. This area is also sometimes referred to as the Danubian Plain (Câmpia Dunării) in Romanian, though this designation is not specific, because the Danube flows through a number of plains along its course, such as the Hungarian Plain (which is called the Danubian Plain in Slovakia and Serbia), as well as the Bavarian Lowland, also called the Danubian Plain.

Găneasa is a commune in the east of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name is a feminine form of Gane, a Romanian name. It is composed of five villages: Cozieni, Găneasa, Moara Domnească, Piteasca, and Șindrilița.

Ștefăneștii de Jos is a commune in the centre of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name means "Lower Ștefănești", derived from Ștefan (Stephan) and suffix -ești. The commune is composed of three villages: Crețuleasca, Ștefăneștii de Jos, and Ștefăneștii de Sus.

Voluntari (Romanian pronunciation: [volunˈtarʲ]) is a town in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. It is located at a distance of 1 km from the northern border of Bucharest (on the DN2 road towards Urziceni) and is thus frequently viewed as a suburb of Bucharest. The population is 47,366 inhabitants according to the 1 December 2021 census, with an ethnic composition, among those for whom data are available, of 94.8% Romanians, 1.3% Romani, 0.9% Chinese, 0.5% Turks, and 2.5% of other ethnic groups. The low price of land, the proximity to Bucharest, and the easy and reliable access to both the railway network and the road network have allowed a steady development of industrial and commercial facilities, especially in the light industry and import/export commerce. The town's output estimate increased by over 25% between 2001 and 2005. Even with such high development rates, many residents commute to Bucharest. Voluntari is the site of a shopping centre known as Jolie Ville Galleria, as well as the headquarters of the Vodafone Romania company. Voluntari literally means "Volunteers", in Romanian, having been founded by the volunteer soldiers who fought for Romania in World War I and were given plots to build their homes there after the war. The settlement received city status in 2004.

The Șindrilița is a left tributary of the river Pasărea in Romania. It flows into the Pasărea in the village Pasărea. Its length is 12 km (7.5 mi) and its basin size is 59 km2 (23 sq mi).

Dascălu is a commune in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Creața, Dascălu, Gagu and Runcu. Its name is derived from an obsolete Romanian word for "teacher". The Mostiștea river has its source in Gagu village.

Petrăchioaia is a commune in the east of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Măineasca, Surlari, Petrăchioaia, and Vânători. Its name is a feminine form of Petrache, which in turn is a name of Greek origin, derived from Petrakis.

Pantelimon (Romanian pronunciation: [panteliˈmon]) is a town in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. The town — bordered to the west by the Romanian capital, Bucharest — has an area of 69 km2 (27 sq mi). Its name is derived from the Greek saint Panteleimon.

Cătălin Hîldan Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Brănești, Ilfov County, Romania. It was the home ground of CS Brănești, a professional football club founded in 1968 and dissolved in 2012. It holds 2,500 people, all on seats.The stadium is named after Cătălin Hîldan, the former Dinamo Bucharest player who died on the field during a game.

International School of Bucharest (ISB) is a private international school founded in 1996 that offers a British style of education for students from the age of 2.5 to 19 in Bucharest, Romania's capital city. It caters to over 700 students from 40 countries.

Dobroești is a commune in the east of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, right off the limits of Bucharest's Sector 2. It is composed of two villages, Dobroești and Fundeni. The name Dobroești is derived from South Slavic/Bulgarian "Dobro" (good) and Romanian suffix -ești. A modern shopping and apartment complex, for overseas Chinese, have been built in Dobroești, dubbed as Chinatown.

Pantelimon (also known informally as Antilopa) is a metro station on Line M1 of the Bucharest Metro. Situated in Pantelimon neighbourhood, adjacent to the town of Pantelimon, it is the terminus of Line M1 and was opened in May 1991 as a one-station extension from Republica.The station was built only to serve the Pantelimon Subway Depot and the workers of the defunct Antilopa factory, which is located in the close vicinity. The station only employs one track and most trains on line M1 stop at Republica metro station, while only some go all the way to Pantelimon, when the line is clear. Supposedly the station was opened in 1989 for trials, and it has another platform (currently unused) but due to residents complaints about the tunnel underneath cracking their homes, the line was closed but reopened the year later, to be used as a reduced capacity. During the trials, it was stated that at first, a simple shuttle used in the early mornings and late nights was used to transport the workers from the depot, only later the full line being opened for trials (for only a few days, though).
