Garden Acres is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Joaquin County, California, United States. The population was 10,648 at the 2010 census, up from 9,747 at the 2000 census. It is the most populous CDP in San Joaquin County.

The Stockton cannery strike of 1937, also known as the spinach riot, was the bloody culmination of conflict between the Agricultural Workers Organization local and the California Processors and Growers in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The riots of April 23, 1937, in which both sides were armed with clubs and firearms, began in front of a Stockton cannery and resulted in one death, over fifty serious injuries and tied up the movement of a $6 million vegetable crop. The strike is remembered as the most violent confrontation in a long struggle between unions and growers for control of Stockton canneries (and the millions of acres dependent on them) and the political, economic and labor ramifications that affected California for years to come.

Weber Point Home is a historical site in Stockton, California in San Joaquin County. The site of the former Weber Point Home is a California Historical Landmark No. 165, listed on January 11, 1935. The Weber Point Home was a built by Captain Charles M. Weber founder of Stockton. Weber was pioneer of California and built a two-story adobe-and-redwood house in 1850. At the time it was the largest house in Stockton. The house was built on the east end of the Stockton Channel. The house was surrounded by landscaped gardens built for his new wife Helen Murphy. Weber lived in the house till his death in 1881. The house was located on Center Street between Channel and Miner Street in Stockton. The Weber Point House was destroyed in a fire in 1917. The Weber Point House was the center of the 8,747 acre Mexican land grant Rancho Campo de los Franceses. The Rancho owned present day Stockton and lands south and east, most of the current San Joaquin County.

Temple Israel Cemetery is a historical site in Stockton, California in San Joaquin County. Stockton Developmental Center is a California Historical Landmark No. 765, listed on August 10, 1961. The land for Temple Israel Cemetery was donated by Captain Charles M. Weber in 1851. The local Jewish community of Stockton Temple Israel of Stockton built a cemetery on the land. Temple Israel Cemetery is the oldest Jewish cemetery in continuous use in California, also west of the Rocky Mountains. In 1851, the Stockton Jewish community founded, Ryhim Ahoovim, a Jewish Bevevolent Society. Ryhim Ahoovim held a High Holy Days service at the Corinthian Theater in Stockton in 1851. The Ryhim Ahoovim, a Jewish Bevevolent Society became a Jewish congregation in 1855 and a synagogue building was built and dedicated in 1855 with 43 members. The building was move in 1863 to Hunter Street, due to the Great Flood of 1862 and used till 1905. A historical marker was built by The State Department of Parks and Recreation working with Temple Israel and the Union of American Hebrew Congregations on December 10, 1961. This marker is in storage, but a replacement marker is at the Temple Israel Cemetery site. The Temple Israel Cemetery marker is located at 1110 E. Acacia Street, Stockton.

Juan Brown (1799-1859), nickname Juan Flaco, known as the Paul Revere of California, rode from Los Angeles to San Francisco California in four days, 52 hours, in 1846, during the Mexican–American War. Juan "Flaco" Brown was sent by Captain Archibald H. Gillespie at Fort Hill to due the Siege of Los Angeles, started on September 22, 1846. United States Army Troops were trapped in Pueblo de Los Ángeles, Alta California by José María Flores men. Juan "Flaco" Brown took word to Commodore Robert F. Stockton in San Francisco of the serious trouble the Gillespie's troops in Los Angeles were in.

Robert J. Cabral Station (called Stockton – Downtown station or Stockton ACE station by Amtrak), is a railway station in Stockton, California. In 2003, the station building was named in honor of the late Robert J. Cabral, a San Joaquin County supervisor instrumental in the creation of the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE), originally Altamont Commuter Express.Cabral Station is one of two train stations in Stockton. This station is the terminus for the ACE line to San Jose's Diridon Station and is also served by Amtrak San Joaquins trains between Sacramento and Bakersfield. San Joaquins trains between Oakland and Bakersfield do not pass this station and instead use Stockton – San Joaquin Street station.

Its studios and offices are on Lancey Drive in Modesto. KQOD has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter is on Arata Road in Stockton. KQOD broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format. Its HD2 subchannel formerly carried a rhythmic contemporary dance music format known as "Club Jam."

The Stockton Diamond is a railway junction just south of downtown Stockton, California, near the intersection of Aurora Street South and East Scotts Avenue. It is the point where the north–south running Union Pacific Fresno Subdivision line crosses the east–west BNSF Stockton Subdivision, both double-track railways. Freight trains operate through the intersection 24 hours a day; Altamont Corridor Express and Amtrak California San Joaquins passenger trains also utilize the junction. Two of the sides of the "diamond" are complete and allow interchanges between the north-east and south-west legs.

The Elks Building in Stockton, California is a 5-story U-shaped Chicago style/Commercial Style building built during 1906–08. Located at the corner of Sutter and Weber Streets, it has a copper cornice over those two streets.It is unusual, structurally, due to reports from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake about which types of buildings survived earthquake and fire. Ergo it is built from steel and concrete on the first two floors, although from there up has timber framing with two-foot thick brick masonry exterior walls. A March 1906 newspaper report had stated the building was expected to be built from brick masonry; a May 1906 newspaper report said its construction would change.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
