Juan Brown (1799-1859), nickname Juan Flaco, known as the Paul Revere of California, rode from Los Angeles to San Francisco California in four days, 52 hours, in 1846, during the Mexican–American War. Juan "Flaco" Brown was sent by Captain Archibald H. Gillespie at Fort Hill to due the Siege of Los Angeles, started on September 22, 1846. United States Army Troops were trapped in Pueblo de Los Ángeles, Alta California by José María Flores men. Juan "Flaco" Brown took word to Commodore Robert F. Stockton in San Francisco of the serious trouble the Gillespie's troops in Los Angeles were in.

San Joaquin Street station, also known as Stockton – San Joaquin Street, is an Amtrak station in Stockton, California. Originally built for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (which acquired the San Francisco and San Joaquin Valley Railroad), it is a stop for trains on Amtrak's San Joaquin line between Oakland and Bakersfield. The Mission Revival style building cost $24,470 to construct (equivalent to $711,197 in 2022), and includes typical design features such as stuccoed walls, a red tile roof and shady arcades.The San Joaquin Street station is one of two train stations in Stockton. San Joaquin trains running between Sacramento and Bakersfield, as well as Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains do not pass this station and instead use the Robert J. Cabral Station closer to downtown. Two Amtrak Thruway bus routes serve this station. Route 3 connects passengers to the other station in Stockton, Sacramento, Chico and Redding. Route 6 connects with San Jose.

Robert J. Cabral Station (called Stockton – Downtown station or Stockton ACE station by Amtrak), is a railway station in Stockton, California. In 2003, the station building was named in honor of the late Robert J. Cabral, a San Joaquin County supervisor instrumental in the creation of the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE), originally Altamont Commuter Express.Cabral Station is one of two train stations in Stockton. This station is the terminus for the ACE line to San Jose's Diridon Station and is also served by Amtrak San Joaquins trains between Sacramento and Bakersfield. San Joaquins trains between Oakland and Bakersfield do not pass this station and instead use Stockton – San Joaquin Street station.

Fox California Theater, renamed the Bob Hope Theatre in 2004, is a commercial building in Stockton, California built in 1930. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Tretheway Block is a historic commercial building located at 229 E. Weber St. in Stockton, California. The building, which was built in 1892, is noteworthy due to its eclectic architecture. While the building was mainly designed in the Queen Anne style, it also includes Romanesque and Moorish influences. The building's front features three small bays with banded arches in the center and two large bays with partial ribbed domes on the sides; the domes and the banded arches are Moorish elements. The building is topped by a cornice made of corbelled arches and split by four vertical projections, exhibiting the Romanesque influence on the design. Zinc floral ornaments are located on the projections of the cornice and at various places on the bays.The building was built by farmer John Tretheway and originally housed a hardware store on its first floor and lodging on its upper floors. In 1925, the building became a hotel called the Hotel Argonaut; it remained a hotel until the 1970s.The Trethaway Block was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1982.

Gurdwara Sahib Stockton is a gurdwara located in the city of Stockton, California. It is notable for being the first Sikh house of worship in the United States. The Pacific Coast Khalsa Diwan Society founded the gurdwara in 1912.

The San Joaquin County Administration Building consolidates 16 support and service departments now occupying leased and owned spaces in downtown Stockton, California. The LEED Gold building supports approximately 500 county staff, with growth space for up to 250 more staff. County residents can now visit a single location to pay taxes, register to vote and obtain marriage licenses, birth certificates and information about their business or home assessments. The building was designed by Fentress Architects and establishes a civic identity for the San Joaquin County Government. The building has won the 2008 Design Excellence Award, Novum Structures and the 2009 Project of the Year Award, American Public Works Association, Sacramento Chapter.

The Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin, also known as the San Joaquin County Superior Court or San Joaquin Superior Court, is the branch of the California superior court with jurisdiction over San Joaquin County.

The Hotel Stockton is a Mission Revival Style building located at 133 E. Weber Ave. in Stockton, California. The hotel, which opened in 1910, was designed as a grand hotel with 252 rooms and became popular among visitors to Stockton, especially traveling entertainers. In 1912, the City of Stockton moved its City Hall into the hotel, where it remained until 1926. The building's role in local government ultimately outlasted its role as a hotel; when the hotel closed for business in 1960, the county courthouse relocated to the building for the next four years while a new courthouse was built. The building served yet another branch of government in 1976, when San Joaquin County purchased the building as office space for its Public Administration Department.The Hotel Stockton was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 1, 1981.

The Benjamin Holt House is a private home in Stockton, California. Built in 1869, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
