Plumstead Common is a common and urban park in Plumstead in the Royal Borough of Greenwich (SE18), south-east London. It is part of the South East London Green Chain.

Shrewsbury Park is a public park situated on Shooter's Hill, south of Woolwich, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in south east London. The park is east of Plum Lane, and north of the Shooter's Hill golf course. It takes its name from the earls of Shrewsbury; the land was formerly part of the Shrewsbury estates, and Shrewsbury House (a library and community centre built in 1923 - replacing an earlier mansion built by the 15th Earl) is nearby. The house's grounds were leased for a London County Council Open Air School from 1908 and in 1928 the LCC purchased part of the grounds for public open space, which became Shrewsbury Park. Just outside the park is the Shrewsbury Barrow or tumulus, the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound.During World War II the park was the site of a barrage balloon, part of the Air Ministry's Field Scheme Nosecap for the defence of London; during the Battle of Britain it was manned by 901 County of London Barrage Balloon Squadron, based at nearby RAF Kidbrooke.Parts of the park are designated as conservation areas. The Green Chain Walk passes through the park.Shrewsbury Park includes meadows and areas of woodland, and is popular with dog walkers and joggers. The Friends of Shrewsbury Park, established in 2006, organises various events and manages volunteer park maintenance get-togethers. Projects have included installation of a drinking water fountain. North of the park is Dot Hill, a former allotment site that has now reverted to grassland and scrub, or 'emergent woodland'. A small stream runs at the eastern end.

Shrewsbury Barrow is a Bronze Age burial mound (also known as a tumulus) in Shooter's Hill in South East London, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It is a Scheduled Monument.

Plumstead Manor School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located next to Plumstead Common in the Plumstead area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, England. It is a community school administered by Greenwich London Borough Council.The school was founded as Plumstead County School for Girls in 1913. The school was later renamed Kings Warren Grammar School. The school became comprehensive in 1967, being renamed to Plumstead Manor School. The school was enlarged in the 1970s, and new additional buildings were opened at the school in 2013. Plumstead Manor School was a girls school until September 2018, when it started accepting both genders.Plumstead Manor School offers GCSEs, BTECs and vocational courses as programmes of study for pupils. Students in the sixth form have the option of studying from a range of A Levels as well as further BTECs.

The Woodlands Farm Trust is a registered charity that administers the 89-acre Woodlands Urban Farm in Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. The farm was saved by the community from development by house builders in a successful local campaign stretching from 1995 to 1997. It was previously threatened by the Greater London Council plan for the East London river crossing and road scheme which crossed the land and was planned to run through the adjacent ancient forest. The Farm Land is owned by The Co-operative Group a UK consumer co-operative society, but leased to the charity on a 999-year lease at peppercorn rent. The farm is located on Shooter's Hill, situated a vein of protected Metropolitan Open stretching from Eltham to Plumstead and Welling in South East London, across Shooter's Hill (A207 road) from Oxleas Wood and located next to the new London Olympic Legacy Horse Riding College.

The Wogebourne () is an 8 km (5.0 mi) tributary of the River Thames in the southeast London boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley, that flows generally in a northeasterly direction, from its source in Oxleas Wood in Shooter's Hill, to Thamesmead where it joins the Thames. The Wogebourne has appeared in records since at least the fourteenth century, and has been known by other names including Woghbourne, Plumstead River, and Wickham Valley Watercourse. The upper reaches of the watercourse in Shooter's Hill, Falconwood, Welling, and East Wickham are above ground through woodland, farmland and fields, where several smaller tributaries join; whereas the lower reaches in Plumstead, Abbey Wood, and Thamesmead are mostly underground within culverts. The final part of the river in Thamesmead was previously marshland which was drained in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, where the Wogebourne now completes its course through a man-made lake called Southmere and a purpose-built channel named Crossway Canal which empties into the Thames at Crossness.

Shooter's Hill (or Shooters Hill) is a district in South East London within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It borders the London Borough of Bexley. It lies north of Eltham and south of Woolwich. With a height of 132 metres (433 ft), it is the highest point in the Borough of Greenwich and one of the highest points in Greater London. Shooter's Hill also gives its name to the A road which passes through east to west and is part of the A207 road, the A2 road, and also Watling Street.

St Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Woolwich, South East London. It is situated between Woolwich New Road and Brookhill Road, the main entrance being on Woolwich New Road. The church was designed by Augustus Pugin in 1841–42 in the style of the Gothic Revival and is one of only three Pugin churches in London. Pugin's design remained unfinished as the projected tower and spire were never built. The parish of St Peter the Apostle serves the Catholic community of central Woolwich and surrounding areas, and is part of the Archdiocese of Southwark which is in the Province of Southwark.

Woolwich Arsenal station is a National Rail and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) paired interchange station in the heart of Woolwich in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It has two parts; its raised, south-western part of the station is on the semi-slow, commuter service, corollary of the North Kent Line and also in its Dartford Loop services section between London and Dartford, run by Southeastern. Regular services beyond Dartford are to the Medway Towns, which start/finish in the opposite direction at Luton via the City of London, West Hampstead and St Albans. Its other part is the terminus of its own branch of the DLR, run by Transport for London. The older part of the station, built in a modernist style, is located on a corner of General Gordon Square, a green town square. The newer part has entrances to Woolwich's subterranean end of the DLR, and faces the top of Powis Street, a long, semi-pedestrianised retail avenue. It is named after the area's Woolwich or Royal Arsenal, to distinguish the Arsenal site from the former Royal Dockyard, which before the 19th century was complemented with wharves and yards for large naval ships. In zoning it is the furthest DLR station – in Travelcard Zone 4. On the national network, it is 9 miles 32 chains (15.1 km) down from London Charing Cross.
