KZAZ (FM)

KBAI (930 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format. Licensed to Bellingham, Washington, the station serves the Whatcom County area. The station is owned by Saga Communications, and is operated as part of its Cascade Radio Group.

The Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) is the public transit authority of Whatcom County in northwestern Washington, based in the city of Bellingham. It provides bus service on 31 fixed routes, including branded "GO Lines" with 15-minute frequencies on weekdays, to cities in its service area. In addition to bus service, the WTA offers paratransit service and a vanpool programs. The WTA is funded by a 0.6% sales tax within the Whatcom County public transportation benefit area (PTBA) and grants from the state and federal governments. Service began on January 1, 1984, using equipment bought from the Bellingham municipal transit system after a countywide authority was established a year earlier. The WTA carried 5 million total riders on fixed bus routes in 2014, averaging out to 17,000 weekday boardings.

PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center (commonly shortened to St. Joe's) is a hospital operated by PeaceHealth in Bellingham, Washington. Its trauma center is the Haggen Family Emergency and Trauma Center, a level II trauma center.The hospital provides general medical care, as well as specialized treatment for heart and joint conditions and cancer. It is the only hospital in Whatcom County. They have 251 licensed beds.

KPUG is operated by the Cascade Radio Group, owned by Saga Communications. The majority of local sports taking place in and around Whatcom County are broadcast on KPUG. KPUG serves Northwest Washington with a signal that reaches into Vancouver and Victoria in Canada and also reaches into Seattle's northern suburbs (daytime only) and the Olympic Peninsula.

Baker Creek is a stream that flows through Whatcom County, Washington. It is a tributary to Squalicum Creek, which flows through Bellingham, Washington, to Squalicum Waterway in Bellingham Bay. In 2006, the city of Bellingham completed a significant stream and salmon habitat restoration project on Baker Creek.

As of the 2022–2023 school year, the district has an enrollment of 11,623 students.In 2006, the Center for Digital Education, along with the National School Boards Association, named the Bellingham School District 6th in the nation for districts with 2501-15000 students.
