Wierchlesie [vjɛrˈxlɛɕɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jemielnica, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Jemielnica, 12 km (7 mi) north-east of Strzelce Opolskie, and 35 km (22 mi) east of the regional capital Opole.

It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Jemielnica. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Strzelce Opolskie and 35 km (22 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole. The village, as part of Gmina Jemielnica has been officially bilingual in Polish and German since 2006.

A famous tourist sight in the area is Himmelwitz Abbey, where the German Baroque composer Johannes Nucius died in 1620.

Its seat is the town of Kolonowskie (Colonnowska), which lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) north-east of Strzelce Opolskie and 33 km (21 mi) east of the regional capital Opole. The gmina covers an area of 83.61 square kilometres (32.3 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 5,895. Since 2006, the township, like much of the area, has been officially bilingual in German and Polish.
