Großer Priepertsee

Priepert is a municipality in the ocean Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is flying River Havel in between the trees of Großer Priepertsee and Ellbogensee.

Ellbogensee (German, 'Elbow Lake') is a lake in the Mecklenburg Lake District, in Germany. Although most of the lake is in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a portion of its southern shore is in the state of Brandenburg. It has a distinctive shape, reflecting its name.The lake has an elevation of 54.8 metres (180 ft) and a surface area of 1.55 square kilometres (0.60 sq mi). The navigable River Havel flows through the Ellbogensee, entering it at Priepert via a 0.6-kilometre (0.37 mi) long channel from the Großer Priepertsee to the north, and exiting via a 0.3-kilometre (0.19 mi) long channel to the Ziernsee to the east. At Strasen, at the western end of the lake, a canal and lock gives access to the Großer Pälitzsee, forming the first link of the Müritz–Havel–Wasserstraße. Navigation is administered as part of the Obere–Havel–Wasserstraße.

Wangnitzsee is a lake in the Mecklenburg Lake District, in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is situated in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. The lake has an elevation of 54.9 metres (180 ft) and a surface area of 1.9 square kilometres (0.73 sq mi). The navigable River Havel briefly flows through the Wangnitzsee, both entering and exiting at the west end of the lake. The river enters from a 7.2 kilometres (4.5 mi) channel from Wesenberg and the Woblitzsee, and exiting directly into the Großer Priepertsee. The lake itself is navigable to its eastern end, and navigation is administered as part of the Obere–Havel–Wasserstraße.

Drewensee is a lake in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It has an elevation of 54.9 m (180 ft) and surface area of 2.56 km (1.59 mi).

Ziernsee is a lake in the Mecklenburg Lake District, in Germany. Whilst most of the lake is in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte (municipality Priepert) in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a portion of its southern shore is in the state of Brandenburg. The lake has an elevation of 54.6 metres (179 ft) and a surface area of 1.1 square kilometres (0.42 sq mi). The navigable River Havel flows through the Ziernsee, entering it via a 0.3-kilometre (0.19 mi) long channel from the Ellbogensee to the west, and exiting via a 5.4-kilometre (3.4 mi) channel to the Röblinsee. Navigation is administered as part of the Obere–Havel–Wasserstraße.

Plätlinsee is a lake in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. At an elevation of 55.1 m, its surface area is 2.42 km2.

Besenreepsee is a lake in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. At an elevation of 57 m, its surface area is 0.084 km2.

Lake Stechlin or Großer Stechlinsee is a lake in Landkreis Oberhavel, Brandenburg, Germany. At an elevation of 60 m, its surface area is 4.52 km². The Stechlin cisco, a dwarfed fish, is found only in this lake. Theodor Fontane's last novel, Der Stechlin, was set in its vicinity. Stechlinsee has a maximum depth of 69.5 metres, making it the deepest lake in the State of Brandenburg. It is also one of the clearest with a visual depth of up to 11 metres (average 6 metres). The water is of drinking quality. It is home to the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries.The Stechlin district is still one of the most important oligotrophic landscapes of Central Europe and a LIFE project was undertaken for the restoration of clear water lakes, mires and swamp forests of the Lake Stechlin.On 22 March 2012 The Global Nature Fund announced Lake Stechlin as the "Living Lake of the Year 2012".

The Rheinsberg Lake Region (German: Rheinsberger Seengebiet) with its many great and small lakes, lies in the richly-varied, gently rolling, forested countryside between the villages of Rheinsberg, Menz and Fürstenberg/Havel in the north German state of Brandenburg. It lies just to the south of the Neustrelitz Little Lakes Region, but has no natural link to the waterbodies to the north. However, the Rheinsberg Lake Region is linked to the Neustrelitz lakes via the Wolfsbruch Canal and Lock, the Müritz-Havel Waterway and the Upper Havel Waterway. It drains southwards to the River Havel through the Rhin and is bounded by Ruppin Switzerland to the south. The overwhelming part of the region belongs to the Stechlin-Ruppiner Land Nature Park. The Stechlin Nature Reserve, created in 1938, is well known.

Großer Pälitzsee is a lake in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. At an elevation of 56.1 metres (184 ft), its surface area is 2.58 square kilometres (1.00 sq mi). At Strasen, at the eastern end of the lake, a canal and lock gives access to the Ellbogensee and the navigable River Havel.

Röblinsee is a lake in the Mecklenburg Lake District, in Germany. It is situated in the district of Oberhavel in the state of Brandenburg, and lies immediately to the west of the town of Fürstenberg. The lake has an east–west orientation, and is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) long and up to 0.5 kilometres (0.31 mi) wide. The navigable River Havel flows through the Röblinsee, entering it via a 5.4 kilometres (3.4 mi) channel from the Ziernsee. The river exits the lake through a short channel and lock in the centre of Fürstenberg, before entering the linked lakes of Baalensee and Schwedtsee. Navigation is administered as part of the Obere–Havel–Wasserstraße.
