Union Meeting House (Burke, Vermont)

Burke is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2020 census. The town contains the villages of East Burke, West Burke and Burke Hollow. The town is home to Burke Mountain and Burke Mountain Academy.

East Burke is a census-designated place in the town of Burke in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. Its population was 132 as of the 2010 census. It is home to Burke Mountain and Burke Mountain Academy.

Burklyn Hall is a historic estate house on Darling Hill Road, straddling the town line between Burke and Lyndon, Vermont, USA. Built in the early 1900s for Elmer Darling, a locally-born New York hotelier, it is one of Vermont's largest and most opulent Colonial Revival houses, and was the centerpiece of a large country estate. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The Darling Estate Historic Estate encompasses an historic country estate of more than 2,000 acres (810 ha) on Darling Hill Road, straddling the town line between Burke and Lyndon, Vermont. Built in the early 1900s for Elmer Darling, a locally-born New York hotelier, it was one of Vermont's largest such estates, featuring Burklyn Hall, one of its most opulent Colonial Revival houses, as well as numerous 19th-century farm properties. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Burke Mountain Academy is a full-year private college-preparatory school in the northeastern United States, located in East Burke, Vermont. It educates and trains alpine ski racing athletes on the slopes of adjacent Burke Mountain Ski Area.

The Caledonia-4 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Caledonia-4 District includes all of the Caledonia County towns of Burke, Lyndon, and Sutton. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Caledonia-4 District had a population of 8,020 in that same census, 1.21% below the state average.

The Toll House is a historic toll house at 2028 Mountain Road in Burke, Vermont. It was built in 1940-41 by crews of the Civilian Conservation Corps as an administrative headquarters for Darling State Park, and as a toll house for the Burke Mountain Road. It is one of the state's finest examples of CCC architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Burrington Covered Bridge is a historic queenpost truss covered bridge in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in the 19th century, it is one of five covered bridges in Lyndon. It formerly carried Burrington Bridge Road across the Passumpsic River; it has been bypassed by a modern bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Burke Mountain Ski resort is a mid-size ski resort open to skiing and snowboarding in northeast Vermont (aka Vermont's "Northeast Kingdom" ). It is located on Burke Mountain and is home to Burke Mountain Academy, a ski academy. In May 2012, Burke Mountain Resort was purchased by the owners of nearby Jay Peak Resort. The new ownership has improved Burke's snow making capability. Burke Mountain Resort is a ski in/ski out resort that is positioned at the midway point of the mountain. The hotel has 116 rooms, and is open year-round. Behind the hotel is a mid-lodge called the Bear Den which features a full-service bar, soups and chili, and live music on Saturdays.

WGMT (97.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a hot adult contemporary format. Licensed to Lyndon, Vermont, United States, the station is owned by Vermont Broadcast Associates, Inc.

Burke Mountain is a mountain located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The bulk of the mountain is in Burke and Kirby, Caledonia County, but its southeast side is in Essex County. It is flanked to the east and southeast by Umpire Mountain and Kirby Mountain, respectively. Burke Mountain stands within the watershed of the Passumpsic River. The northeast and northwest sides of Burke Mountain drain into Dish Mill Brook, thence into the East Branch of the Passumpsic River. The southwest end of Burke Mtn. drains into Mountain Brook, thence into the East Branch of the Passumpsic River. The south slopes and southeast side of Burke Mountain drain into Weir Mill Brook, thence into Bog Brook, the Moose River, and the Passumpsic River. It is within the Darling State Forest Park of Victory State Forest. The Burke Mountain Ski Area has been developed since the 1940s on the northwest slopes of the mountain. Burke Mountain was purchased by the owners of Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont in 2012.

The Centre Covered Bridge, also known as the Sanborn Covered Bridge, is a historic covered bridge, spanning the Passumpsic River next to U.S. Route 5 (US 5) north of the village of Lyndonville, Vermont. Built in 1872, it was moved to its present location and taken out of service in 1960. The bridge was located on Center Street between Lyndonville and Lyndon Center. It is one of three surviving Paddle-Ford truss bridges in Vermont. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
