Burklyn Hall

The Darling Estate Historic Estate encompasses an historic country estate of more than 2,000 acres (810 ha) on Darling Hill Road, straddling the town line between Burke and Lyndon, Vermont. Built in the early 1900s for Elmer Darling, a locally-born New York hotelier, it was one of Vermont's largest such estates, featuring Burklyn Hall, one of its most opulent Colonial Revival houses, as well as numerous 19th-century farm properties. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Caledonia-4 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Caledonia-4 District includes all of the Caledonia County towns of Burke, Lyndon, and Sutton. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Caledonia-4 District had a population of 8,020 in that same census, 1.21% below the state average.

East Burke is a census-designated place in the town of Burke in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. Its population was 132 as of the 2010 census. It is home to Burke Mountain and Burke Mountain Academy.

The Burrington Covered Bridge is a historic queenpost truss covered bridge in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in the 19th century, it is one of five covered bridges in Lyndon. It formerly carried Burrington Bridge Road across the Passumpsic River; it has been bypassed by a modern bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Burke is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,651 at the 2020 census. The town contains the villages of East Burke, West Burke and Burke Hollow. The town is home to Burke Mountain and Burke Mountain Academy.

The Union Meeting House is a historic church at 2614 Burke Hollow Road in Burke, Vermont. Completed in 1826 as a worship space for four congregations, it is a well-preserved example of vernacular Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The Centre Covered Bridge, also known as the Sanborn Covered Bridge, is a historic covered bridge, spanning the Passumpsic River next to U.S. Route 5 (US 5) north of the village of Lyndonville, Vermont. Built in 1872, it was moved to its present location and taken out of service in 1960. The bridge was located on Center Street between Lyndonville and Lyndon Center. It is one of three surviving Paddle-Ford truss bridges in Vermont. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Bradley Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge, carrying Center Street over Miller Run, a tributary of the Passumpsic River, in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1878, it is the last of Vermont's many 19th-century covered bridges to carry a numbered state highway (first Vermont Route 122 then later Vermont Route 122 Alternate). The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Lyndon is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,491. Lyndon is the home of Lyndon State College. The town contains five unincorporated villages, Lyndonville just east of the geographic center of town, Lyndon Corner in the south, Lyndon Center in the center of town on the west side of Lyndonville, Little Egypt in the north, and East Lyndon in the southeast. Lyndon is the second-most populous town in the Northeast Kingdom; only neighboring St. Johnsbury is larger. It is also the fastest growing town in Vermont with a population over 5,000, growing 9.8% in the decade preceding the 2010 census.

The Mathewson Block is a historic commercial building at 101 Main Street in the center of Lyndonville, Vermont. Built in 1869, it was the first brick commercial building erected in Lyndonville, which was founded in 1866. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The District 6 School House is a historic school building at 73 Cemetery Circle in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1857, it served as a school until 1900, and saw use in the 20th century as a garage, storage facility, and museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Lyndon Center is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Lyndon, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The community is located along the western border of Lyndonville. Lyndon Center has a post office with ZIP code 05850. The community was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.
