Świerklaniec (Polish: [ɕfjɛrˈklaɲɛt͡s]) is a village in Tarnowskie Góry County, in the Silesian Voivodeship of southwestern Poland. Formerly, from 1975 to 1998, Świerklaniec was a part of the Katowice Voivodeship.

Gmina Świerklaniec is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Świerklaniec, which lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Tarnowskie Góry and 21 km (13 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 44.26 square kilometres (17.1 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 12,328.

It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Świerklaniec, 5 km (3 mi) east of Tarnowskie Góry, and 23 km (14 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.

Neudeck Palace (Polish: Zamek w Świerklańcu; German: Schloss Neudeck) was the residence of the aristrocratic Henckel von Donnersmarck family in Upper Silesia. The palace complex and park was one of the largest and most magnificent in the German Empire and was popularly known as Little Versailles or Upper Silesian Versailles. It is located around two kilometers south-east of the town of Neudeck (Polish: Świerklaniec) in the Tarnogórski Góry County in Poland. The Old and New Palace were set on fire by the Red Army in 1945 and demolished in August 1961. Today, the complex consists of the palace park, the Cavalier Palace, the Donnersmarck funeral chapel and several farm buildings and monuments.

Nakło Śląskie [ˈnakwɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerklaniec, within Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) west of Świerklaniec, 4 km (2 mi) south-east of Tarnowskie Góry, and 22 km (14 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.

The Basilica of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew is a Roman Catholic church in Piekary Śląskie, Poland. There was a church in Piekary Śląskie from the fourteenth century. The current church, designed by Daniel Grötschel in Neo-Romanesqe style, was completed in 1849. On 1 December 1962, Pope John XXIII elevated the church to the status of minor basilica.

The population of the city is 54,226 (2021).Piekary is a spiritual center of Upper Silesia, a Marian shrine which is a pilgrimage site for thousands of the faithful, and a mining town.

It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously in Katowice Voivodeship, and before World War II, in the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship. Miasteczko Śląskie is one of the towns of the 2.7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the town is 7,437 (2019).

Wymysłów [vɨˈmɨswuf] (former German name Wimslau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerklaniec, within Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Tarnowskie Góry and 17 km (11 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 572.

Radzionków ([raˈd͡ʑɔŋkuf]; German: Radzionkau, Silesian: Cidry) is a town in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. Borders on the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – metropolis with the population of 2 million. Located in the Silesian Highlands. It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously in Katowice Voivodeship, and before then, of the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship. In 1975–1997 it was a part of Bytom before it became a separate entity in 1998. Radzionków is one of the towns of the 2.7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the town is 16,826 (2019).
