Opatów, Silesian Voivodeship

Gmina Opatów is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Kłobuck County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Opatów, which lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Kłobuck and 80 km (50 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 73.54 square kilometres (28.4 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 6,816.

Rębielice Królewskie Wind Turbine situated south of Rębielice Królewskie, Poland is a wind power turbine built in 2003. It was designed by Józef Antos (born in 1932), graduate of technical high school in Bytom. The design process took nearly 20 years. It has a total height of 54 metres and rotor with 33 metres diameter. The constructor said it would deliver 35 kW at a wind speed of 2 m/s, but it's impossible due to the fact that the theoretical power available from wind at 2 m/s is lower than 4.5 kW.

Mokra [ˈmɔkra] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Miedźno, within Kłobuck County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 6 km (4 mi) north of Kłobuck and 80 km (50 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. On 1 September 1939, it was the site of the Battle of Mokra, fought between the Polish cavalry brigade and a German panzer division. The one-day battle was won by the Poles.

The Battle of Mokra took place on 1 September 1939 near the village of Mokra, 5 km north of Kłobuck and 23 km north-west of Częstochowa, Poland. It was one of the first battles of the Invasion of Poland, during the Second World War, and was one of the few Polish victories of that campaign and the first German defeat of the conflict.
