The Military Archives of Sweden (Swedish: Krigsarkivet) is the part of the National Archives of Sweden that keeps archives related to agencies that answer to the Ministry of Defence. The Military Archives were established in 1805 and contain listings of military personnel, drawings and descriptions of military buildings and equipment, maps, private files of key persons in Swedish military history, and photographs. The archived materials date from the 16th century to the present. Since 1995, the Military Archives form a part of the government agency National Archives of Sweden.

The Swedish Film Institute (Swedish: Svenska Filminstitutet) was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. The institute is housed in the Filmhuset building located in Gärdet, Östermalm in Stockholm. The building, completed in 1970, was designed by architect Peter Celsing.

The Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art (Swedish: Dramatiska Institutet, DI), also called the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre was a Swedish university college in Stockholm that provided education programs about activities surrounding film, radio, television, and theater. It was founded in 1970 by the Swedish government. Many famous media personalities and others in the film industry have studied at Dramatiska Institutet, including Anna Asp, Lene Berg, Josef Fares, Mark Levengood, Stina Lundberg Dabrowski, Anders Lundin, Lukas Moodysson, Kjell Sundvall, and Lisa Siwe. On January 1, 2011 the school merged with the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting to become Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.

The Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SADA) (Swedish: Stockholms dramatiska högskola) was a school within the Stockholm University of the Arts that offers a University Diploma in Performing Arts and Media. SADA was Sweden’s largest school of film, radio, television and theatre.On January 1, 2011 SADA was formed via the merger of the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art and the Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm (Swedish National Academy of Dramatic Arts/Stockholm Academy. In 2014, SADA became part of Stockholm University of the Arts, and the previous name is now no longer in use.The diploma programmes consisted of three years of full-time studies leading to a bachelor's degree. Courses provided practical production and team-exercises. The programmes concentrated mainly on practical work, but also included theory. Continual contact with professionals and professional work was maintained by means of guest lecturers, study visits, and co-productions with other institutions, film companies, radio teams, and theatres. SADA also offered postgraduate courses, as well as shorter courses for professionals already working within the field of theatre and media.

The Stockholm Open (currently sponsored by Intrum) is an indoor tennis event on the ATP Tour played at the Kungliga tennishallen in Stockholm, Sweden. The tournament is owned by The Royal Lawn Tennis Club of Stockholm, SALK (Stockholm Public Lawn Tennis Club) and Tennis Stockholm. The first Stockholm Open was held in 1969 and it has been played each year ever since, except for 2020 when it was cancelled due to the corona pandemic. The tournament is played on indoor hard-court and features both men's singles and doubles tournament. The event was held on carpet courts in 1975, 1979, and 1980 as a short-lived women's competition, as well as in 1989 and 1990. Originally played in November, the tournament was moved to October in 2001.

Kungliga tennishallen (English: Royal Tennis Hall) is a tennis venue at Lidingövägen 75 in Stockholm, Sweden. The stadium was built in October 1943 and has a capacity of 5,000. Kungliga tennishallen, now a hard-court surface, remains the venue for the men's Stockholm Open tournament which was first held in 1969. In 1975 the venue was the host of the year-end Masters tennis tournament as well as the Davis Cup final between Sweden and Czechoslovakia.

Lindarängen is a location outside Stockholm, Sweden. During the 1912 Summer Olympics, it hosted the steeplechase trials for the equestrian eventing competition. Between 1921 and 1952 Lindarängen also hosted Stockholm's water airport for seaplanes.

Gärdet is a part of Stockholm, east and northeast of Östermalm. Its official name is Ladugårdsgärdet. It is renowned for its large number of modernist apartments. Gärdet is one of the largest residential districts built in Stockholm during the 1930s, built from 1929 until around 1950, and houses about 10,000 people. The district includes a vast open space used for recreational purposes; the name Gärdet ("the field") often refers to this area specifically. During the summer semester, there are several different events on "the field" such as circus, music and sports and more. All the buildings around Tessinparken were built between 1932 and 1937.

The Hjorthagen Church (Swedish: Hjorthagens kyrka) is a church building at Dianavägen at Hjorthagen in Stockholm, Sweden. It belongs to the Engelbrekt Parish of the Church of Sweden. Construction began in 1907 and the church was inaugurated on 25 March 1909 by archbishop Johan August Ekman.

Värtahamnen is a port in Stockholm, Sweden. Värtahamnen and the adjacent Stockholm Free Port at Lilla Värtan is Stockholm's main port. Värtahamnen primarily serves passenger ferries for the shipping company Silja Line as well as freighters for Tallink operating in Åland and Estonia. The port also services the SeaWind Line and the coal/biofuel power plant in Hjorthagen. Värtahamnen is located in the Gärdet and Hjorthagen districts. The structure was built in 1879-1886 after the city bought land in order to create a port for coal and other bulk goods. Rail freight and passenger traffic were routed through the Värtabanan line when the Värtan station was inaugurated in 1882. The port was widened and deepened gradually during the early 1900s, and in 1903 the nearby coal-fired Värtaverket plant was inaugurated. In 1904, a municipal building was added which served as the customs and port offices.

The Gustaf Adolf Church (Swedish: Gustaf Adolfskyrkan) is a church building in the Gustav Adolf Park at Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. Belonging to the Oscar Parish of the Church of Sweden, the church was inaugurated on 6 November 1892 by bishop Gottfrid Billing.
