The Military Archives of Sweden (Swedish: Krigsarkivet) is the part of the National Archives of Sweden that keeps archives related to agencies that answer to the Ministry of Defence. The Military Archives were established in 1805 and contain listings of military personnel, drawings and descriptions of military buildings and equipment, maps, private files of key persons in Swedish military history, and photographs. The archived materials date from the 16th century to the present. Since 1995, the Military Archives form a part of the government agency National Archives of Sweden.

The Gustaf Adolf Church (Swedish: Gustaf Adolfskyrkan) is a church building in the Gustav Adolf Park at Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. Belonging to the Oscar Parish of the Church of Sweden, the church was inaugurated on 6 November 1892 by bishop Gottfrid Billing.

The Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SADA) (Swedish: Stockholms dramatiska högskola) was a school within the Stockholm University of the Arts that offers a University Diploma in Performing Arts and Media. SADA was Sweden’s largest school of film, radio, television and theatre.On January 1, 2011 SADA was formed via the merger of the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art and the Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm (Swedish National Academy of Dramatic Arts/Stockholm Academy. In 2014, SADA became part of Stockholm University of the Arts, and the previous name is now no longer in use.The diploma programmes consisted of three years of full-time studies leading to a bachelor's degree. Courses provided practical production and team-exercises. The programmes concentrated mainly on practical work, but also included theory. Continual contact with professionals and professional work was maintained by means of guest lecturers, study visits, and co-productions with other institutions, film companies, radio teams, and theatres. SADA also offered postgraduate courses, as well as shorter courses for professionals already working within the field of theatre and media.

The Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art (Swedish: Dramatiska Institutet, DI), also called the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre was a Swedish university college in Stockholm that provided education programs about activities surrounding film, radio, television, and theater. It was founded in 1970 by the Swedish government. Many famous media personalities and others in the film industry have studied at Dramatiska Institutet, including Anna Asp, Lene Berg, Josef Fares, Mark Levengood, Stina Lundberg Dabrowski, Anders Lundin, Lukas Moodysson, Kjell Sundvall, and Lisa Siwe. On January 1, 2011 the school merged with the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting to become Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Karlaplan metro station is a station on the red line of the Stockholm metro, located at Karlaplan in the district of Östermalm. The station was opened on 2 September 1967 as part of the extension from Östermalmstorg to Ropsten.

Karlaplan is an open park-plaza area in Östermalm in central Stockholm, Sweden.

The Aviator Monument (Swedish: 'Flygarmonumentet') is a statue that stands at Karlaplan in central Stockholm, Sweden. The statue was a gift from the Swedish Aeronautical Society in memory of different Swedish aviation pioneers who fell in both the North Pole expedition of 1898 and in the Swedish aviator era in 1917. The task to build the monument was given to the famous sculptor Carl Milles. The Aviator Monument was finished in 1931.

Stockholms Tekniska Gymnasium (Stockholm Technical Upper Secondary School) is a charter school that is located in the district of Östermalm, close to the Stadion metro station in the Swedish capital of Stockholm. The upper secondary school belongs to Thoren Innovation School (TIS) which in turn is a part of Thorengruppen. Before Thorengruppen acquired TIS in 2012, it belonged to Lernia AB. As of 21 August 2014, there are approximately 250 students that are studying in Stockholm at Thoren Innovation School. The school is situated in Löjtnantsgatan 25.

The Swedish Film Institute (Swedish: Svenska Filminstitutet) was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. The institute is housed in the Filmhuset building located in Gärdet, Östermalm in Stockholm. The building, completed in 1970, was designed by architect Peter Celsing.

Oscar Parish (Swedish: Oscars församling) is a parish in Östermalm's church district (kontrakt) in the Diocese of Stockholm, Sweden. The parish is located in Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County. The parish forms its own pastorship.

Lindarängen is a location outside Stockholm, Sweden. During the 1912 Summer Olympics, it hosted the steeplechase trials for the equestrian eventing competition. Between 1921 and 1952 Lindarängen also hosted Stockholm's water airport for seaplanes.

Oscar's Church (Swedish: Oscarskyrkan) is one of the major churches in Stockholm, Sweden. The three-aisled hall church, which holds 1,200 people, has an 80-metre-high (260 ft) tower in the south-western part of the building. Oscar's Church is located in the south-eastern part of Östermalm, where Storgatan and Narvavägen meet, near the Swedish History Museum. Narvavägen is together with the nearby Strandvägen—from which the church is also visible—one of the city's main boulevards, lined with several residential palaces.
