The Avenue Theatre was a movie theater in San Francisco that operated from 1927 until 1984.

Phillip and Sala Burton Academic High School is an American secondary school in San Francisco, California. The founding of the school is a result of a consent decree ruling in 1984 between the City of San Francisco and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. First established in the Silver Terrace neighborhood, the current campus is located in Visitacion Valley at 400 Mansell Avenue, on the former site of Woodrow Wilson High School. The school is named after former U.S. Representatives Phillip Burton and his wife Sala Burton. From January 2007 to May 2009, Leadership High School cohabited with Burton High School; as did Metropolitan Arts and Tech Charter School from May 2009 to May 2011.

The San Francisco School is an independent, coeducational day school. Founded in 1966, the school has a multicultural enrollment of 270 students. The preschool program centers on the ideas of Maria Montessori. The elementary and middle school program reflects the ideals of a progressive, child-centered approach.The school also includes an extended care program, parent education opportunities, and summer recreational activities.

Alemany Maze is the name given to the interchange between the James Lick Freeway (U.S. Route 101, US 101) and the John F. Foran Freeway (Interstate 280, I-280) in the city of San Francisco. An alternative name for this highway feature is the Alemany Interchange.

Silver Terrace is a neighborhood in the south eastern corner of San Francisco, between the Bayview and Portola neighborhoods. It is roughly bordered by Third Street to the east, Palou Avenue and Silver Avenue to the north, Williams Avenue to the south and Bayshore Boulevard and U.S. Route 101 to the west. A tunnel used by Caltrain runs under Silver Terrace.

Paul Avenue was a Caltrain station located in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The lightly-used station was closed on August 1, 2005, and the platform and shelter were removed in 2009. A replacement station to the north has been proposed.

The station opened with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has two side platforms; the northbound platform is north of Gilman Avenue/Paul Avenue, and the southbound platform to the south, so that trains can pass through the intersection before the station stop.

Carroll station is a light rail station on the Muni Metro T Third Street line, located in the median of Third Street in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has two side platforms; the northbound platform is north of Carroll Avenue, and the southbound platform south of Carroll Avenue, so that trains can pass through the intersection before the station stop.

Le Conte station is a light rail station on the Muni Metro T Third Street line in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has a single island platform located in the median of Third Street south of Le Conte Avenue. The station is located in an open cut between the travel lanes of Third Street, which rise south of Le Conte Avenue to pass over Candlestick Hill and the Bayshore Freeway. South of the station, the line also rises to pass over the hill and highway.

Visitacion Valley (VIZ-i-TAY-shən; Spanish: Valle de la Visitación), colloquially referred to as Viz Valley, is a neighborhood located in the southeastern quadrant of San Francisco, California. Visitacion Valley is roughly defined by McLaren Park and Gleneagles Golf Course to the West, Mansell Blvd and Portola to the north, Bayview Hill and Candlestick Cove to the east, and the San Francisco / San Mateo County line to the south. The streets of this neighborhood straddle the border between San Francisco and Daly City, hence partially blending with the adjacent Daly City neighborhood of Bayshore. The grounds of the Cow Palace, straddling the San Francisco/Daly City border, are partially within Visitacion Valley.

The Jerry Garcia Amphitheater is an outdoor concert venue located in McLaren Park in San Francisco, California. The amphitheater's maximum capacity is 3,200 people. It is named after Grateful Dead band member Jerry Garcia, who once lived in the nearby Excelsior District neighborhood. It is the site of the annual Jerry Day event, at which various musical groups perform.

Rancho Rincón de las Salinas y Potrero Viejo was a 4,446-acre (17.99 km2) Mexican land grant, largely within present day southeastern San Francisco, California, and extending to San Mateo County, California . It was given in 1839 by Governor pro tem Manuel Jimeno to José Cornelio Bernal.The grant consisted of two grants - Rincon de las Salinas ("corner of a salty marsh" - around Islais Creek); and Potrero Viejo ("old pasture" - part of Mission Dolores). Rincon de las Salinas encompassed the present day southern San Francisco neighborhoods of Bernal Heights, Excelsior, Crocker-Amazon, and Outer Mission. Potrero Viejo encompassed present day Bayview and Hunters Point.
