Paul Avenue station

Gilman/Paul station is a light rail station on the Muni Metro T Third Street line, located in the median of Third Street in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has two side platforms; the northbound platform is north of Gilman Avenue/Paul Avenue, and the southbound platform to the south, so that trains can pass through the intersection before the station stop.

Le Conte station is a light rail station on the Muni Metro T Third Street line in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has a single island platform located in the median of Third Street south of Le Conte Avenue. The station is located in an open cut between the travel lanes of Third Street, which rise south of Le Conte Avenue to pass over Candlestick Hill and the Bayshore Freeway. South of the station, the line also rises to pass over the hill and highway.

Visitacion Valley (VIZ-i-TAY-shən; Spanish: Valle de la Visitación), colloquially referred to as Viz Valley, is a neighborhood located in the southeastern quadrant of San Francisco, California. Visitacion Valley is roughly defined by McLaren Park and Gleneagles Golf Course to the West, Mansell Blvd and Portola to the north, Bayview Hill and Candlestick Cove to the east, and the San Francisco / San Mateo County line to the south. The streets of this neighborhood straddle the border between San Francisco and Daly City, hence partially blending with the adjacent Daly City neighborhood of Bayshore. The grounds of the Cow Palace, straddling the San Francisco/Daly City border, are partially within Visitacion Valley.

Williams is a light rail station of the San Francisco Municipal Railway's Muni Metro system located in the median of Third Street at Williams and Van Dyke Avenues in Bayview, San Francisco, California, United States. The station opened along with the T Third Street line on January 13, 2007. It has two side platforms; the northbound platform is north of Williams Avenue, and the southbound platform south of Williams Avenue, so that trains can pass through the intersection before the station stop. A wye for trains to reverse directions is located two blocks south at Armstrong Avenue, allowing Williams station to be the terminus of short turn trains when necessary.

KEST (1450 kHz) is a brokered time AM radio station in San Francisco, California. Most of the station's programming is in Asian languages, including Mandarin and Cantonese. It also airs some South Asian, Greek and German programs as well as New Age shows in English. KEST, then called KSOL, was one of the first full time "rhythm and blues" radio stations in the U.S. That station employed disc jockey Sylvester Stewart, later known as Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone recording fame. Multicultural Radio owns KEST and numerous ethnic stations across the country, including five in New York City. KEST is powered at 1,000 watts by day and 960 watts at night. It shares a transmitter site with KSFB 1260 AM, off Bayview Park Road, near the Bayshore Freeway (U.S. Route 101) in San Francisco.

KREV (92.7 MHz) is an FM radio station licensed to Alameda, California, and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. It is owned by Golden State Broadcasting LLC, prsently a debtor in possession. The station was put into a receivership by court order in July 2020. On March 15, 2021, VCY America, which owns Christian stations across the U.S., began operating the station under a local marketing agreement (LMA). On January 31, 2022, a court ordered possession and control of the station back to Golden State Broadcasting. KREV has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 6,000 watts. The transmitter was formerly located atop of Bellaire Tower in the city's Russian Hill neighborhood. It is now on a shared tower on Candlestick Hill in Bayview Park, San Francisco. The station's radio studios are in the Visitacion Valley district of San Francisco.

The Avenue Theatre was a movie theater in San Francisco that operated from 1927 until 1984.

Bayview–Hunters Point (sometimes spelled Bay View or Bayview) is the San Francisco, California, neighborhood combining the Bayview and Hunters Point neighborhoods in the southeastern corner of the city. The decommissioned Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is located within its boundaries and Candlestick Park, which was demolished in 2015, was on the southern edge. Due to the South East location, the two neighborhoods are often merged. Bayview–Hunter's Point has been labeled as San Francisco's "Most Isolated Neighborhood".Redevelopment projects for the neighborhood became the dominant issue of the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. Efforts include the Bayview Redevelopment Plan for Area B, which includes approximately 1300 acres of existing residential, commercial and industrial lands. This plan identifies seven economic activity nodes within the area. The former Navy Shipyard waterfront property is also the target of redevelopment to include residential, commercial, and recreational areas.

Bayview Park (sometimes Bay View Park) is a 46.63-acre (18.87 ha) park in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood of southeast San Francisco. The park's land is mainly occupied by a large hill named either Bayview Hill or Candlestick Hill, west of the former site of Candlestick Park and east of the Bayshore Freeway; it is prominently visible from both. The hill was initially proposed as parkland by Daniel Burnham in his 1905 Burnham Plan for San Francisco as Visitacion Park, but the park was not created until 1915. Prior to that, the title to the land was held by the Bay View Land Company, which intended to erect luxury houses on the site. After plans for housing fell through, it was proposed to create a pest house on the site in 1902 until the Crocker Land Company donated adjacent land to the city to block plans for the pest house. KYA (1260 AM) opened a studio and 5000-watt radio transmitter on the hill in 1937, and further development of the area occurred in 1958, when part of the hill was quarried to create fill and land for Candlestick Park. Currently, the park receives relatively few visitors to what is considered one of the best-preserved remnants of pre-Columbian open spaces in San Francisco.

Phillip and Sala Burton Academic High School is an American secondary school in San Francisco, California. The founding of the school is a result of a consent decree ruling in 1984 between the City of San Francisco and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. First established in the Silver Terrace neighborhood, the current campus is located in Visitacion Valley at 400 Mansell Avenue, on the former site of Woodrow Wilson High School. The school is named after former U.S. Representatives Phillip Burton and his wife Sala Burton. From January 2007 to May 2009, Leadership High School cohabited with Burton High School; as did Metropolitan Arts and Tech Charter School from May 2009 to May 2011.

Silver Terrace is a neighborhood in the south eastern corner of San Francisco, between the Bayview and Portola neighborhoods. It is roughly bordered by Third Street to the east, Palou Avenue and Silver Avenue to the north, Williams Avenue to the south and Bayshore Boulevard and U.S. Route 101 to the west. A tunnel used by Caltrain runs under Silver Terrace.
