Salisbury Arts Centre is a venue in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. It is run by Wiltshire Creative, a charity which provides opportunities for members of the community to experience the arts. The centre stages a range of educational and community events, many of them free, and it also participates at events in and around the city, including the Larmer Tree Festival. The centre is housed in the deconsecrated St Edmund's Church on Bedwin Street in central Salisbury. Its main performance space can hold 164 people seated or 400 standing. Milford railway station was the first railway station to be built in the city of Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, in 1847. The Bishopstoke to Salisbury line approached from the south-east, and terminated in the Milford area of the city by the Church of St Martin. In 1859, passenger services were transferred away to the newer station located at Fisherton (now the main station in Salisbury), with Milford retained as a goods depot until the 1960s.

Frowds Almshouses are Grade II* listed almshouses at 1–12 Bedwin Street in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. An inscribed stone above the original entrance reads: "Built and Endow'd by the Liberality of Mr EDWARD FROWD Merch[an]t late of this City. 1750." The building was constructed under the terms of the will of wealthy merchant Edward Frowd (d. 1720), who directed that a sum of £8,000 from his estate was to be invested to provide an annual income for his sister Lydia Guest and that upon her death (which occurred in 1745) £7,500 of that sum should be used to build 24 almshouses near to St Edmund's Church in Salisbury. They were to be "built after a husbandly manner but to have little gardens to each house and so built that the poor people may have a comfortable living therein…" Land at the corner of Bedwin Street and Rollestone Street was bought in 1749 and the almshouses were built there. Frowd's will directed that the almshouses should be for twelve poor men and twelve poor women from the parish of St Edmund’s, unless any of his own relations were in need, and that a pew be made for them to sit together in the church.

The parish is shaped like a figure 7 and incorporates Ford hamlet, the eastern half of the former manor of Milford, the area near the ancient settlement of Old Sarum, and part of the Hampton Park district on the edge of Salisbury. Laverstock, the parish's main settlement, lies on the east bank of the River Bourne and is approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Salisbury city centre, 33 miles (53 km) due south of Swindon and 77 miles (124 km) west-southwest of London.
