Spittelau is a station on U4 and U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It combines with Wien Spittelau railway station, which is operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), to form a multistorey interchange station. The U4 platforms at Spittelau, along with the ÖBB platforms served by regional trains and by line S40 of the Vienna S-Bahn, are at ground level. Above these platforms, and crossing them at right angles, are the U6 platforms. The whole interchange station complex is located in the Alsergrund District. The U-Bahn station opened in 1995.

The Arthur-Schnitzler-Hof is a residential tower block in Döbling (City District 19), a quarter on the northern side of central Vienna. It was built between 1959 and 1960, according to plans produced by the architects Michel Engelhart and Alois Machatschek. It comprises 47 residential apartments.

Lichtental is a part of the district of Alsergrund, Vienna. It was an independent municipality until 1850.

The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Neo-Latin Studies (LBI; German: Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Neulateinische Studien) in Innsbruck is a research institute of the Austrian Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft. Partner organizations of the LBI are the University of Innsbruck, the University of Freiburg, the Austrian National Library in Vienna, and the Pontificio Comitato di Scienze Storiche in Rome. The LBI was founded in 2011 and is dedicated to the study of Neo-Latin literature. It particularly focuses on the significance of Neo-Latin literature in the formation of Early Modern Europe. The LBI attempts to flesh out the idea that today's Europe would look very differently without the contribution of Neo-Latin literature. This idea is explored by means of examples from three lines of research.

Nußdorfer Straße is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Alsergrund District. It opened in 1989.

The Lichtental Parish Church (Lichtentaler Pfarrkirche) is the Roman Catholic parish church of Lichtental, now part of Vienna, Austria. Officially the Lichtentaler Pfarrkirche zu den heiligen vierzehn Nothelfern, it is dedicated to the Fourteen Holy Helpers. The church has elements of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. It is also known as the Schubertkirche (Schubert Church), because Franz Schubert was baptised there in 1797 and wrote several compositions for use in the church, including his first mass for the centenary, first performed on 25 September 1814.

Schubert's birthplace (Schubert Geburtshaus), in Vienna, Austria, was the birthplace in 1797 of the composer Franz Schubert. Today it is a museum, part of the Vienna Museum.

The Jewish Cemetery in Währing, opened in 1784, was the main burial site for members of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien. Besides the St. Marx Cemetery it is the last remaining cemetery of Vienna in the Biedermeier style. After its closure in the 1880s, it was partially destroyed during the time of the Third Reich, and is now only partly accessible due to its deteriorating condition. A long-running debate over the restoration of the cemetery has been taking place since 2006 between politicians of the federal and local levels as well as experts.

The St. Canisius's Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in the 9th District of Vienna, Alsergrund.

Alsergrund (German pronunciation: [ˈalzɐˌɡrʊnt] (listen); Central Bavarian: Oisagrund) is the ninth district of Vienna, Austria (German: 9. Bezirk, Alsergrund). It is located just north of the first, central district, Innere Stadt. Alsergrund was incorporated in 1862, with seven suburbs. As a central district, the area is densely populated. According to the census of 2001, there were 37,816 inhabitants over 2.99 square km (1.15 sq. mi). Many departments of the University of Vienna (main university), TU Wien and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) are located in Alsergrund. Until 2013 the University of Economics and Business (Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien) was also located in the 9th district, but eventually moved to the 2nd district. There are also many large hospitals, including the biggest in Vienna, the AKH (Allgemeines Krankenhaus, German for General Hospital). Alsergrund is associated with many notable names of Viennese art and science. It is the birthplace of Romantic composer Franz Schubert. Classic music composer Ludwig van Beethoven died here in his apartment at Schwarzspanierstraße 15. Berggasse 19 is the former residence and office of Sigmund Freud. It was Freud's home from 1891 until his flight to England in 1938, and is currently the site of the Vienna Sigmund Freud Museum. Most of the patients Freud treated during the development of his theories of psychoanalysis visited him at his Alsergrund office. In addition, the park in front of the Votivkirche, on the corner of Währingerstrasse and Schottenring, was named after Freud, in memory of his frequent visits there.

Wien Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof (translated as Vienna Franz Joseph Station, abbreviated as Wien FJB) is a train station in the Alsergrund district of Vienna, Austria. It serves as the southern terminus of the Emperor Franz Joseph Railway.

The Döbling Synagogue (Synagoge Döbling) stood in the Dollinergasse in the suburb of Oberdöbling in the 19th district of Vienna, Döbling. It was opened in 1907 but was ruined and partially destroyed in the Kristallnacht pogrom in November 1938. Later, the synagogue was deconsecrated and in 1995, it was replaced with a modern apartment tower.
