Wyler, North Rhine-Westphalia

Heikant is a former hamlet in the municipality of Berg en Dal, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was located about 3 km northeast of Groesbeek, on the German border. According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, Heikant (or "De Heikant") consisted of 44 houses and had a population of 140 in the middle of the 19th century.

Zyfflich is a village in Germany near the Dutch city of Nijmegen in the municipality of Kranenburg, Kreis Kleve in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Duivelsberg (German: Wylerberg or Teufelsberg, which literally translates to 'the devil's mountain') is a hill and nature reserve in the municipality of Berg en Dal in the Dutch province of Gelderland, near the border with Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia). It is politically significant, however, because Duivelsberg is the only part of the Netherlands that was both annexed from Germany and retained after World War II.

Achilles '29 Vrouwen is the women's section of Dutch football club Achilles '29 from Groesbeek, Netherlands.The amateur team is called Achilles '29 Dames and pre-dates the professional team (Achilles '29 Vrouwen) which was established in 2015. The club has been competing in the Eredivisie for Women since the 2016–17 season.

De Horst is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Berg en Dal, about 2 km east of Groesbeek.The village started to developed after the Divine Heart of Jesus Christ Church was built in 1928. On 20 September 1944, the village was in the line of fire during Operation Market Garden, and almost all buildings including the church were destroyed. De Horst and Groesbeek have been expanding into a single urban area. In the late 2010s, the municipality changed the place name sign to "Groesbeek De Horst". Nevertheless, it is still a separate village and not annexed.

The Freedom Museum (Dutch: Vrijheidsmuseum), until September 2019 National Liberation Museum 1944-1945, is a museum in Groesbeek, the museum is about the liberation of the Netherlands at the end of World War II. The museum is located in Groesbeek, close to the German border. The structure shaped like a parachute was built in remembrance of the Rhineland Offensive (Operation Veritable, Operation Grenade, Operation Blockbuster, Operation Plunder and Operation Varsity) and of the Airdrop of thousands of allied paratroopers on the fields in Groesbeek during Operation Market Garden.

Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery and Memorial (French:Le Cimetière de Guerre Canadien Groesbeek, Dutch:Canadese Oorlogsbegraafplaats Groesbeek) is a Second World War Commonwealth War Graves Commission military war grave cemetery, located in the village of Groesbeek, 8 km (5.0 mi) southeast of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Of the total 2,619 burials, the cemetery contains 2,338 Canadian soldiers. It was built to a design by Commission architect Philip Hepworth.

Berg en Dal (literally in English: Mountain and Valley) is a municipality in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. It was formed through a merger of the municipalities of Groesbeek, Millingen aan de Rijn and Ubbergen in 2015. The resulting larger municipality maintained the name of Groesbeek until 2016, when it was renamed to Berg en Dal after the village of Berg en Dal.Berg en Dal has about 34,714 inhabitants and covers an area of about 93 km². The municipality borders in the north on the Waal river and the Bijlands Kanaal, in the east on the German forest of the Reichswald, in the south on the province of Limburg, in the southwest on the forest of the Mookerheide (also Limburg), and in the west on the city of Nijmegen. Berg en Dal is slightly hilly with altitudes reaching the 75 meters, like the Duivelsberg. The International Four Days Marches Nijmegen crosses the municipality on the 3rd day (Day of Groesbeek).

Groesbeek (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣruzbeːk] (listen)) is a town and former municipality in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. In January 2015 the former municipality merged with Millingen aan de Rijn and Ubbergen. The larger area was known as Groesbeek until January 2016, when its name was changed to Berg en Dal.

Leuth is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Berg en Dal, about 10 km east of Nijmegen. Leuth was founded on a sandbank in the floodplain marshes north of the river Waal. The earliest mention of the settlement, named Lotde, dates back to 891 and 892. The village belonged until 1815 to Prussia; Leuth was a separate municipality until about 1814. It became a part of the Prussian municipality Niel, until it was transferred back to the Netherlands in 1817, as a part of the municipality of Ooij en Persingen, which later has become a part of the municipality of Ubbergen.During the second war world Leuth was severely affected. The centre of the original village was almost entirely destroyed. The village has a small shopping centre and a primary school.

Kranenburg is a town and municipality in the district of Cleves in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located near the border with the Netherlands, 12 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Nijmegen and 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Cleves. Since 1992, Kranenburg has evolved into a commuter town for Nijmegen.The village has always focused on the Dutch city of Nijmegen, and the local language was Dutch until far into the 19th century.

The Katharinenhof in Kranenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, was used from 1446 until 1802 as the home of a convent of sisters of the Catholic Church. After that time, the building served various uses. Since 1961, the house serves as a museum.
