Bromma Church

Bromma socken is a former socken of Sollentuna Hundred in Uppland, Sweden. It became part of City of Stockholm in 1916, and has been part of the municipalities of Stockholm and Sundbyberg since 1971. The socken was about 25.05 square kilometres (9.67 sq mi) in area. In 1903, the population was 2,220, before Sundbybergs köping (pop. 3,031) was included. Ulvsunda Castle, Åkeshov Castle, the Johannelund estate, and Bromma Church were located in the former socken.

Kyrksjön (Swedish: Church Lake) is a small lake in Bromma, a western suburb in Stockholm, Sweden. Named after its vicinity to the old Bromma Church, the lake was made part of the nature reserve Kyrksjölöten in 1997. Three other lakes are located near Kyrksjön: Judarn, Lillsjön, and Råcksta Träsk.

Västerort (sometimes translated to West Stockholm) is the western part of Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. Åkeshov is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is at ground level, has two island platforms flanking three through tracks, and is one of the intermediate termini along the northern section of the Green line, with line 17 trains normally terminating. Access is by way of a pedestrian underpass that passes under both the metro line and the adjacent Bergslagsvägen street.The station lies on the route of a line known as the Ängbybanan that formerly linked Alvik and Islandstorget. The Ängbybanan was designed and built for use by the future metro, but was operated from 1944 as part of line 11 of the Stockholm tramway. Åkeshov station was inaugurated as part of the metro on 26 October 1952 with the conversion of the Ängbybanan and its extension to form the metro line between Hötorget and Vällingby.As part of Art in the Stockholm metro project, the station features a bronze sculpture in the ticket hall symbolizing non-violence. The sculpture was created by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd in 1998.

Agneta Wrede's vestibule is a room in the upper floor of Åkeshov Palacee in Bromma, outside Stockholm, Sweden. The room is named after Baroness Agneta Wrede af Elimä (1718–1800), and who lived in the palace during 1747–1800.

Åkeshov Palace is located in Bromma, a borough of Stockholm, Sweden. Historically, Åkeshov was situated in Bromma socken, which was incorporated with the City of Stockholm in 1916. After having undergone a careful reconstruction, the palace is used today as a hotel and conference facility.

Beckomberga Hospital (Swedish: Beckomberga sjukhus) was a Swedish psychiatric hospital, situated in Bromma west of Stockholm. Opened in 1932, Beckomberga was in its mid-20th century heyday one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in Europe, housing some 2,000 mentally ill patients. The hospital was closed in 1995.

Ängbyplan metro station, formerly known as Färjestadsvägen metro station, is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Södra Ängby, which is part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is above ground and has a single island platform, with access from the underpass taking Färjestadsvägen under the line. The distance to Slussen is 12.4 km (7.705 miles).The station lies on the route of a line known as the Ängbybanan that formerly linked Alvik and Islandstorget. It was called Färjestadsvägen until 1961.The metro station was decorated with tile in 1994 by Åsa Lindström.

Judarskogen nature reserve is a municipal nature reserve and a Natura 2000 area in Bromma, western Stockholm, Sweden. It is located in Bromma parish in Stockholm municipality in Uppland. The area of Judarskogen was set in the early 20th century as a nature park. Judarskogen became an outdoor reserve in 1932 and since 1995 it has been a nature reserve. The reserve is named after the lake Judarn, which is located in the middle of the area.

Judarn is a small lake in Bromma, a western suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Surrounded by forest and the Judarskogen nature reserve, it stretches between Åkeshov and Södra Ängby. Three other lakes are found nearby: Kyrksjön, Lillsjön, and Råcksta Träsk. The name is etymologically associated to ljuda, the verb "to sound".

Bromma Stockholm Airport (formerly Stockholm-Bromma Flygplats) (IATA: BMA, ICAO: ESSB) is a Swedish domestic and minor international airport in Stockholm. It is located 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) west-northwest of downtown Stockholm and is the closest to the city compared to the other commercial passenger airports in the area around Stockholm (Arlanda, Skavsta and Västerås). Bromma is Sweden's third-busiest airport by passenger traffic and take-offs and landings as of 2015.
